Program Overview
Teachers Level 2
• Describing people
• Talking about clothing
Instructors are experienced native-speaker teachers of Indonesian • Making comparisons
as a Foreign Language. All hold a university degree and teaching • Location and directions
qualification, and understand the types of difficulties experienced • Giving and checking instructions
by adult language learners. Though they will teach primarily • Talking about health
through the medium of Indonesian, all are fluent speakers of
English. Level 3
• Talking about activities
• Asking for and giving directions
Schedule • Telephoning and taking messages
• Making and responding to invitations
Classes are held twice a week after office hours, 18:00 to 19:30, • Making requests
at the IALF language centre. Each level of the program runs for
10 weeks. Level 4
• Talking about possibility
Bahasa Indonesia courses are offered for the following periods • Explaining situations and describing events
in 2016: • Asking for advice
• Agreeing and disagreeing
Term I 11 January - 17 March • Making a complaint
Term II 4 April - 9 June • Comparing and contrasting
Term III 18 July - 22 September
Term IV 10 October - 15 December For Level 5 and Level 6 syllabus content is tailored to meet
the specific needs of the participants.
