ENGLISH

A Haiku is a short Japanese poem used to evoke images. Read the Haiku in your book, ‘Footprints
without Feet’ and compose one of your own with ‘Delhi’ as the theme.

1. Illustrate a short story in the form of a comic strip (about 6 scenes). Give a suitable heading
to your story and include speech or thought bubbles (whichever is required). Try to
draw/sketch/paint by yourself, or you may use stick figures as well.
2. Read the poem, ‘For Anne Gregory’ from the book, ‘First Flight’. You have perhaps
concluded that people are not objects to be valued for their qualities or riches, but for
themselves. But Yeats asks the question: How can we separate the dancer from the dance?
Is it possible to separate the person himself from how he looks, sounds, walks, etc.?
Describe how one of your close people has changed over the years. Did your relationship
with the person also change? In what way? Share your thoughts and feelings in the form of
a paragraph. Give a suitable title to your write-up.
