SOP: Work Instruction for kiln feed air slide jam removal job.

Mandatory PPEs: Safety Helmet, Safety goggles, Nose Mask, Reflective jacket, Safety Shoes, Ear plugs

3.Caught in under and between the equipement/parts.

Consequences of the deviation:

1. Respiratory Problems
2. Injury fracture due to hit of material /slip and trip
3. Skin damage.

01. Purpose: The Purpose of this SOP is to comply with applicable regulatory requirements and to
identify the precautions and general safety rules that should be followed when doing the Job.

 Air Hose, 1 No , 20-25 mtrs length, 20MM dia
 GI Pipe with handle 1 No , 4-5 mtrs long, ½” dia
 Hammer with wooden handle 2 Nos

07. Manpower Requirements: 03

08. Results & Acceptance: Working person will not get injured during feeding

09. Frequency of Realization: As per requirement

10. Step by Step Procedure:

 Inform CCR prior to start air side cleaning job.

 Hammering the air slide body.
 Check the material flow.
 Open air slide inspection door if material flow is not proper.
 Start air lancing through inspection door till the complete material is cleaned.
 Close the inspection door of air slide.
 Inform CCR to run the kiln feed recirculation.

11. Communications:

Awareness information which can inspire work men towards behavioral safety to achieve zero harm
should be given by TBT, Monthly safety meetings etc.
