The development and manufacture of all our products conform to Japanese laws,
ordinances, and regulations.

The importance of maintaining a sanitary environment for the drainage

system of air conditioners was strengthened in the 2002 Ministry of
Legal Health, Labour and Welfare reforms of the “Law for Maintenance of Sani
tation in Buildings (Common name: Building Sanitation Law or Building
Compliance Maintenance Law)”.
*For details, see the “Legal Guide” on page 6.

Due to obligations outlined in the 2003 amendments to the Building Stan

Importance of dards Act, in the background of the development of high performance air
a Sanitary filters, awareness of the importance of the air quality is being improved.
Environment We believe the installation of the drain trap for air conditioning units is just
one of continuing efforts to achieve better air quality.

Floatball Drain Trap Series for Air Conditioning Units

In addition to the outstanding air backflow prevention performance of the

logical floatball system, the drain traps are both easy to install, and easy to
inspect and clean.

When an A trap is installed in the drainage pipe of a large air conditioner…

Large Air Conditioner

Drain trap for medium/large sized air
conditioners. The dual check valve
function is effective in preventing the
backflow of bad odors even during high
static pressure operation.

Main installations : Medium/large sized air conditioners

such as air handling units
Main installation location : Machine room
Installation method : Floor installation
Backflow of air/ingress of insects into the air conditioner is prevented
Connection diameters : 32A, 40A, 50A

When the C trap is installed in the drainage pipe of a small air conditioner…

Small Air Conditioner Small Air Conditioner

Drain trap for small air conditioners.
Due to their small size, they can be
installed in confined areas above the
ceiling etc.

Main installations : Small air conditioners such as fan coil units, room Prevents the backflow of air/ingress of insects into
units for building multiple air conditioners, and floor the air conditioner
installed package air conditioners (Internal static
pressure: 0~500pa)
Main installation location : Above the ceiling, inside the pipe shaft etc
Installation method : Incorporated into plumbing
Connection diameters : 25A, 30A, 40A, 50A

Floatballtype drain trap for
medium/large air conditioners

For clean air

“A Trap” is a boxtype floor installation drain trap
for air conditioners. Designed logically with dual
check valves, A Trap is effective in preventing
odors and insects from entering the room even
when there is no sealing water. And as our 30
years of experience shows, all of our products
have excellent durability, easy maintenance,
inspection, and cleaning, and look great.

A Trap types and selection flow

There are basically 2 types of A Trap, the <Suction Type> and < Pressurized Type>, and you can select the type
required according to the type of air conditioner (negative pressure/positive pressure) used.

In particular, if you need to implement countermeasures against condensation, we recommend you select the <heat
insulation type>, which is the A trap unit that has been fitted with insulating material.

3 different sizes of connecting diameter are available.

There are further 3 additional custom made products available.

Points of Amendments and Counter Measures

1

Both the A Trap and C trap are designed to effectively prevent infestations of mice,
insects, and pathogens, bad odors, and the transmission of airborne infections via air
conditioner drainage pipes, and are constructed for easy maintenance.
