A Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in English- G7

I. Objectives:
Within the period, the students are expected to:
 provide the correct Wh word to complete the question.
 construct a WH question from the given statements.
 show cooperation in collecting information from a fellow student using the WH
questions by conducting an interview .

II. Subject Matter

Materials: box with questions inside, Powerpoint presentation, papers, speaker,
cartolina,chalk
Time Allotment: 60 minutes

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities (5 minutes)
A1. Greetings
A2. Prayer
A3. Checking of Attendance
A4. Review
 The teacher will ask the students about what the previous topic was.
 The teacher will ask the class to give a recap of the previous lesson.

B. Motivation (5 minutes)
 The teacher will introduce the game The Magic box and the Mystery questions.
 The students will pass the box and when the music stops the person holding the box
will pick a question and answer it. This procedure will repeat for 3 times.
 The teacher will ask someone from the class to give any idea about the connection
of the game and the topic for today’s discussion.

C. Presentation/Discussion (15 minutes


 The teacher will discuss the different WH questions and its functions.
D. Activity (5 minutes)
 The students will be asked to look for a pair.
 The teacher will show an incomplete question
 The students will provide the Wh word to complete the question.
 The winning pair/s who garnered the most number of points will receive additional
points.

E. Analysis (10 minutes)


 The teacher will show erroneous questions.
 The students will be asked if the questions are properly constructed or not.
 The teacher will ask the students to explain their answer.

F. Abstraction generalization (5 minutes)


 The teacher will ask the students to enumerate the different Wh words
 The teacher will ask the students about the function of each Wh word.
 The teacher will ask the students of the importance of WH word in a WH question.

G. Application (10 minutes)


 With the same pair on the first activity, the students will conduct an interview with
each other.

IV. Assessment (10 minutes)


Create a WH question from the following statements.
Example:
I wake up at 7:30 am.
When do you wake up?
1. My name is Freisha.
2. I am 13 years old.
3. My birthday is on the third of October.
4. I am angry because I did not pass my exam.
5. I live in Maramag, Bukidnon.

V. Assignment (5 minutes)
 List at least 5 questions that you want to ask to the most important person in your
life.
