A. Describe the zodiac constellation in the sky;
B. Draw the zodiac constellation; and
C. Appreciate the wonder of the zodiac constellation in the night sky.

About the zodiac constellations.

Zodiac is a group of constellations that form a circular pattern in the night sky.

There are 12 zodiac constellations.

Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra,
Scorpio.

At the elliptic.

The path of the sun on the earth as the earth revolves around it.

They represent an object, animals, human being or mythological characters.

Aries or “the Ram” with wings and it represent between the months of March 21st to April 19th.
Autumn is the season between summer and winter.

It can be viewed in the night sky during the month of November.

Taurus or “the Bull” represent between the months of April 20th to May 20th.

Cancer “the Crab” and represents between the months of June 22nd to July 22nd. It is a winter
constellation that can be best viewed on the month of February.

Leo or “the Lion” represent the between the month of July 23rd to August 22nd. And it si a winter
constellation that can be best viewed on earth on the month of March.

Virgo or “the Maiden” looks like a woman holding a grain. Represent between the months of
August 23rd to September 22nd. And it is a spring constellation that can be best viewed in the
night sky on the month of April.

Libra or the “the Scale” represent between the month of September 23rd to October 23rd. and it is
a spring constellation that cabn be best viewed on the month of May.

Scorpio or “the Scorpion” represent between the months of October 24th to November 21st, it is a
spring constellation that can be best viewed in the night sky on the month of June.

Sagittarius or ‘the Archer” represent between the months of November 22nd to December 21st. it
is a summer constellation that can be best viewed in the night sky on the month of July.

Capricorn or “the Sea Goat” represents between the months of December 22nd to January 19th and
it is a summer constellation

people behind these, who studied the position of the stars?
Okay, what are the differences between Astronomy and Astrology?

(The teacher will group the pupils into four and give each group a three zodiac constellation
to do.)
Direction: Draw the patterns of the Zodiac constellations in correct positions. Describe and give
the months they are visible to earth. Each zodiac constellation is equal 5pts. So

Astronomy is scientific study of the universe beyond the Earth and astronomers tell us about the
origin, history and structure of our universe and solar system. While astrology is study of the
stars that interprets how the positions of the stars, planets and moon affect your personality, fate,
relationships etc…

The zodiac constellation helps the astronomers to figure out how other objects are travel in
space. Object like sun and even our planet.
