MAN- and here you are (he gave the toys to timothy) Thank you sir and by the way Merry
Christmas!
Grand Father- Merry Christmas too
Child- What are you doing Grandpa?
Grand Father- I’ll be giving some food and toys for the children.
Child- Did you put my toys in it?
Grand Father- Don’t worry because I do believe there’s still toys left for you.
Child- But why did you include my favorite toy?
Grand Father- Remember, its better to give than to receive.
Child- But I like my toys.
Grand Father- Come here honey.
Child- What is it Grandpa?
Grand Father- I’ll tell you a story…as far as I remember, when I was young an old man
named Ebenezer Scrooge
( SNOW EFFECT )

Scene 2: At the street


( Crowd with narrators ) ( the crowd is singing while the people is increasing )

Narrator 1- the bank will close in 30 minutes


Crowd 1- excuse me sir ( talking to narrator ) were looking for Mr. Scrooge
Narrator 1: Scrooge ( in a high tone )
Crowd 1: Don’t worry Honey I’m sure he’ll be sympathetic
Crowd 2: Scrooge? Sympathetic?! This man was looking for the sympathetic Ebnezer
Scrooge. (talking to Crowd 3)
Crowd 3: ( laughing )
Scrooge: CRACHIT!! ( looking for him )
( Bob Crachit will come to him )
Bob: Mr. Scrooge
Scrooge: I supposed you would be wanting a day off?
Bob: Yes sir, if its convenient!
Scrooge: No! its not convenient!
(Scrooge went away)
Mr. Smith: (kasama ung daughter) I beg your pardon Mr. Scrooge, may I have a word
Scrooge: Hurry up! the bank is closing (angry)
Mr. Smith: My wife has died and we need to pay for her burial, I need more time to pay you
sir
Scrooge: Do I look like a charity? Huh! Your payment is due tom (itataboy sila)
Daughter: But its Christmas sir!
Scrooge: Make your own fortune….God, Religion, Christmas! It’s nothing! Mark my words
save your money! Arrgh! (talking to bob) let her die to decrease the surplus population.
Bob: Mr. Scrooge, sorry sir, will you pay me early today, just this once sir,
Scrooge: Everybody wanting this, wanting that
Bob: Sir but its Christmas, only once a year.
Scrooge: Only once a year You can take your Christmas and stuffed it with bread…I don’t
need to know about your family. Let your family drink tea.
Scrooge: (dudukot sa bulsa ng pera) Here (bibigay yung pera kay bob) take it, but here is the
agreement you come in early especially the following day
Bob: yes sir, thank you, thank you sir
( Carolers singing around him )

Scrooge: Oh! For god’s sake child. Shut up and let a man pass
Child: Merry Christmas sir!
Scrooge: Oh! Humbug!
( narrators in front )

Narrator 2- it’s been 7 years since that Christmas eve


Narrator 3- 7 years since his partner Marley died.
Narrator 4: After all these years the sign above the door has still read Scrooge and Marley
Accounting House
Narrator 2: That night Scrooge has a dream.
Narrator 3: A dream
Narrator 4: An important dream.
Narrator 1: At this point of the story some of the things that you’re going to see might hurt
your feelings.
Narrator 2: Fathers and Sons
Narrator 3: Lovers and life, friends and enemies
Narrator 4: Money and heart
Narrator 1: Many things can change if only a dream can wake you up.

Scene 3: Scrooge’s Bedroom

( grand father’s clock effect )


Marley: Ebenezer wake up! Ebenezer Scrooge! Its me Jacob Marley your old partner!
Scrooge: Am I dreaming!
Marley: I’m here to bring you a message
Scrooge: HUMBUG!!!
Marley: This is not a joke Scrooge! You must listen to me before it’s too late.
Scrooge: What are you talking about?
Marley: Do you see these chains I wear? I made them myself daily… in my own free will I
wear them
Scrooge: your always an independent man no one can ever get you
Marley: I was wrong! I am so addicted to money and power and greed! I never made
humanity my business! You already have what you want but people hate you.
Scrooge: I’m already used to it.
Marley: And now I’m telling you this you still have time left. I must face an eternity. Working
back on an empty life of ignorance and blindness trust me my friend where I come from you
don’t want to be!
Scrooge- arghh! I never believed in your religion you know that Marley!
Marley- This is not about religion! Look I don’t have much time left. Please listen to my
warning! You will encounter several visitors tonight. You must listen to what they have to tell
you
Scrooge: im going back to sleep
Marley: Ebenezer. You must trust me its never too late to change. Please don’t make the
same mistake that I made
Scrooge: you were…. You were always a good friend to me Marley.
Marley: goodbye. Ebenezer….. ( grand father’s clock effect )
Scrooge: marley! ( wake up like it’s a nightmare )
Scrooge: angels! Huh
Angels: ( all laughing…. On the isle of the stage running towards Ebenezer )
Angel 1: wake up! Ebenezer!
Scrooge: Ahhh! ( shocking face! )
Angel 1: im here to show you your past!
Scrooge: show me my past! Hahahaha ah your just a child
Angel 1: you have a lot to learn from your past
Scrooge: oh! HUMBUG! This is my dream.. I cant determine how it comes out. Tomorrow is a
very busy day for me so I’m going back to sleep.
Angel 1: we’ll see about your business. Now come on! ( pulling scrooge from bed )
speaker- john will scrooge.
Scrooge: what is this?
Speaker: You will go to prison for non-payment of death… 3 years.
Wife: no please its Christmas eve where will we go? ( hugging her child )
Young Scrooge: Father! ( enter young scrooge )
Father: learn this lesson for me Ebenezer save your pennies son don’t you ever spend them
Young Scrooge: yes father, I will.
( the police that time get his father )
Young Girl: Mother, what are we going to do?
Mother: we must pray dear, we must pray hard. Especially its Christmas eve.
Angel 1: poor Ebenezer what a sad day your mother die soon afterwards you were left all
alone ( angel 1 looking at the young Ebenezer with the present ebenezer… and the young
Ebenezer was sad at the center of the stage
Scrooge: all I had left was… was work
Angel 1: god works in mysterious ways.
Scrooge: oh! Don’t give me that rubbish! If god loves you so much why is he so mysterious.
Secrets only lead to pain
Angel 1: whose that chubby young lady?
Scrooge: that’s Emily.
Young Scrooge: Emily! Emily.
Emily: yes?
Young Scrooge: now were here all alone what do you want to talk about?
Emily: um. things have changed
Young Scrooge: things have changed? What do you mean?
Emily: remember the first day we met? Remember the long walks we used to take? I never
see you anymore.
Young Scrooge: it’s my work Emily you know how important it is.
Emily: is it really that important? Or is it the money?
Young Scrooge: my father always tell me to save my pennies
Emily: and don’t ever spend them.. yes, I know. And you were so busy you don’t even
noticed that Harold asked for my hand and I accept it. Harold
Young Scrooge: what? ( interrupting what )
Emily: Harold is a good man and his not afraid to trust.
Young Scrooge: trust? You expect me to trust? After all the pains I’ve been through with my
parents and my sister. I did this. I made this. Without the help anyone.
Emily: don’t you hear yourself? Money and what you do is no worth than anything else. You
may have ambition now but you can’t do it alone forever! Goodbye Ebenezer I hope you and
your money are happy together.
Young Scrooge: please don’t go I’ll do anything you want. ( young and old scrooge kneeling )
Emily: but what I want you could never give me. I love you Ebenezer and I’ll always will.
( young scrooge--- pause)
Angel 1: are you alright?
Scrooge: I have no regrets
( enter song at the same time young and old scrooge and angel exit )
Narrator 1: We all know that something is eternal. And that’s not houses and names
Narrator 2: It’s no the earth, it’s not even the stars.
Narrator 3: Everybody knows in their bones, that there is something eternal, and that
something has to do with human beings.
Narrator 4: There’s something way down deep that’s eternal about every one of us.
(grandfather’s clock) (Narrators exit)
(Scrooge entrance)
(Entrance Christmas Ghosts)
Angels: Good morning Ebenezer
Scrooge: Oh There’s no doubt that angels come to dredge up all painful memories from my
past, well I have none of it
Angels: We’ve come to show you the life you live now
Scrooge: Oh what is the point in that, I’m here, I can see perfectly fine that which is about
me
Angels: Then tell us what you see
Scrooge: Ahh.. I see downtown
Angels: What else?
Old Scrooge: I see businesses, buildings,
Angels: What about the people?
Scrooge: well, they are of no concern to me. Let them celebrate Christmas the way that they
wish; I will celebrate Christmas the way I wish. And now if you pardon me, I’m going back to
sleep
Angel 1:You can sleep in other day
(Entrance Crachit family)
Angel 1: Look, look who’s coming
Old Scrooge: That little boy with crutches, who is that?
Angeks: That’s Bob’s son
Bob: (kneel down and give crutches to Timmy) Timmy why don’t you go on ahead of us and
see if anybody’s home yet
Timothy: Yes Father (walk then turn back)
Scrooge: crachit never told me that he was ill (pertaining to Timmy)
(entrance Mr. Smith?)
Mr. Smith: Hello Mr. cratchit. ( shake hands ) You know my daughter and I didn’t get a chance
to thank you properly, we greatly appreciate your gift
Bob: You’re very very welcome
Bob: (talking to his wife) Mr. Smith stop by the accounting house this afternoon, I couldn’t
resist helping out
Mr. Smith (shake hands with Bob’s wife)
Scrooge: Crachit gave him something how can he afford that on his salary
Mr. Smith: Merry Christmas and God bless you sir (shake hands again)
Bob: Merry Christmas
(Mr. Smith walks away)
Elizabeth/Bob’s wife: So, what did Mr. Scrooge contribute?
Scrooge: I gave him sage advice
Bob: Mr. Scrooge is extremely busy this time of year
Elizabeth/Bob’s wife:what?
Bob: Elizabeth, he means well
Elizabeth: How can you defend such a man? The small salary that he pays you after all of
years of hard work, and the way he treats you. You never say anything but I can see in your
eyes when you come home, how he is on you
Bob: Please, it’s Christmas
(Entrance Timothy)
Timothy: father, everyone is ready
Bob: Look I’m sure that he’s a good man and for that I am thankful but for now, we have a
feast to look forward to
Bob: (kneels down and talks to Timmy) Timmy do you remember?
Timothy: God bless us everyone
(Cratchit Family exits)
Old Scrooge: (talking to Angels) Timmy, will he get better? Will he be well? (looking for the
Angels) Angels…
(Entrance Thriller Dancers)
Old Scrooge: (talking to dancers) have you come to show you my future?
(grandfather’s clock with DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR instrumental)
(Entrance of Tombstones and Bob)
Scrooge: what is he doing here?
Scrooge: (sees the grave of Timmy) Timmy? No!No! Tell me these things can be change.
Who is in the other grave?
Bob: Dear God Have mercy on his soul
Scrooge: Who is he talking about?
Scrooge: (sees his grave) No! No! What must I do to change these things? What must I do to
sponge away the writings on this stone?
(Sound effects like thriller) (dancers dance like thriller)
(Scrooge kneels down beside his grave) (Scrooge put on the chains)
Scrooge: NOOOOOO!!!!
(Curtains close)
(grandfather’s clock) (people walking on stage)
(Entrance of Scrooge)
Scrooge: hahaha..I’m alive
(entrance of Bob and Timothy)
Scrooge: (sees Bob) Crachit! Crachit! What day is it?
Bob: It’s Christmas day sir
Scrooge: Oh Christmas day, I didn’t miss
Scrooge: Crachit I need you
Bob: But sir
Scrooge: I need you to go down to the porters and get the biggest, fattest turkey that will be
possibly fine. And if there’s anything left over be sure to buy anything wonderful for yourself
Bob: Sir?
Scrooge: Merry Christmas Bob!
Bob: merry Christmas
Scrooge: And this is Timmy (looking at Timmy) How are you son?
Timothy/Timmy: Very well sir
Scrooge: (to Bob) What are you waiting for Bob? Christmas?
Scrooge: Oh I will take the boy (pertaining to Timmy) Hurry before the shop closes. Big fat
Turkey, Hurry! Hurry!
Bob: Thank you Sir!
Scrooge: Hai, I understand…
Timothy/Timmy: Sir?
Scrooge: I had a dream. It seems so real. Maybe it was
Timothy: What happened to you Mr. Scrooge?
Scrooge: (kneels down and face timothy) I’ve been given a second chance
Scrooge: You should go, there’s so much to do. Hurry
(Timothy stands up with difficulty)
Scrooge: Oh, oh, ofcourse
Scrooge: here (gives his crutch) you better go
(Timothy walks)
Scrooge: I’ll follow you (walks away)

Grandfather: Scrooge did everything he said he will do and more


Child: Did he give his money away?
Grandfather: Yes he did, but more importantly he learned what it meant to trust in God and
it saved his life
Child: (stands up) Grandpa, can I take my toys to the orphanage?
Grandfather: Of course you can.
(Child walks away)
Grandfather: I’ll be right behind you
Child: (turns back) Grandpa, is Timothy okay?
Grandfather: Yes Thomas, he turned out just fine
(Grandfather stands up and gets his crutch from behind, then walks away)
