Tuesday=picture day
Thursday=8:15 buddy meeting
Thursday and Friday=PE outside of gym (dental sealants)

Unit Fitness testing/spatial awareness/beanbags


Standards: 19, 20, 21
Lesson Objective: Psychomotor-manipulate a bean bag
Affective-move safely, exhibit honest behavior
I CAN
Skip, Gallop, Slide (motor skills)
Perform different movements
Understand spatial awareness

Motor Skill Warm ups - on lap of each on red line around gym
Criss-cross, skip, gallop, slide,

Fitness Testing (3rd-5th)


*Check student’s fitness cards to see what test they need
Students that are not being tested are playing
Greater than Less than
Equipment=hula hoops and dice
Two dice are in each hula hoop, hula hoops are across center of
gym floor
Pairs of students stand across from each other with hula hoop in
between them.
Students roll their individual die, Greater than wins, less than runs
(run to wall and back and find a new partner)

Movements/ Spatial Awareness (K-2nd Grade)


Movements= wide, narrow, curled, twisted,
rolling sideways (use matts)

Spatial Awareness=behind, over, under next to, near, on through


beside
Manipulatives-bean bags
Bean bag games (tape)

Gym not available on Thursday and Friday-cup stacking in rooms if


inclement weather

Assessment of Learning:
Fitness testing scores-fitnessgram standards for Healthy fitness
zone (record scores in fitstats) due Oct. 1st
Visual testing- motor skills, spatial awareness, manipulating a
bean bag
