1. Isolate the power and control circuit electrical supplies to the burner.
2. Remove the burner red cover as detailed in the instruction manual.
3. Remove the Status Panel from the burner by loosening the 2 x fixing screws located at the rear of the unit.
4. Disconnect the electrical connecting plug from the Status Panel.
5. As the burner may have been in operation prior to making this test of the Status Panel, on removing the Panel
there may be some residual stored electrical energy on the pins. In order to allow for discharge of any residual
stored charge leave the Status Panel disconnected for 10 minutes before proceeding.
6. Using an Ohm meter check for any electrical resistance between adjacent connector pins on the Status Panel.
The diagram below shows that there should be an open circuit between all adjacent pins (infinite resistance)
except for 1 and 2 where the resistance should measure between 1.9-2.5 kΩ. The +ve and -ve probes of the
meter should be attached to the adjacent pins as indicated when making each measurement.

7. If ANY resistance is recorded between any pins DO NOT re-install the Status Panel. Record the resistance
measured between pins in this table before despatching to Riello Limited (address below) for further testing.

8. If the Status Panel is removed ensure the connecting plug on the burner is made safe by either enclosing in a
non conductive material (see below image) or by completely disconnecting all cables from the plug to the
burner, therefore removing the plug and loom completely.

9. If no resistances are recorded between any pins, re-connect the electrical connecting plug to the Status Panel.
10. Re-install the Status Panel onto the burner by tightening the 2 x fixing screws.
11. Re-fit the burner red cover, tightening all fixing screws.
12. Re-establish electrical supply to the burner.
