I. Objectives:
 Perform ratio and proportion based on the required tasks
(Code: TLE_HEHS7/8MC-0A-1)
 Learning Outcome: Carryout measurements and calculations of required task

II. Subject Matter:

A. Topic: Ratio and Proportion
B. Reference(s): math 7 book-pages 123-126
C. Materials: charts, math 7 books, laptop, projector, chalkboard

III. Learning Procedure

A. Activity
 Drill
 What are the different types of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals?
 Review
 How many degrees centigrade in 98 degrees Fahrenheit?
 How many miles in 22 kilometers?
 How many pints in one gallon?
 Motivation
 Activity 1 (divide the class into 3 groups.)
 Each group is given an activity sheet. (displayed on the
screen-power point presentation)
 Each group appoint a representative to report to the class
 Answer the activity sheet within 1 minute.
Activity Sheet
Direction: Divide one whole sheet of paper among your group members.
1. What part of the paper do you have now?
2. How many members divide the one whole sheet of paper?
3. If three (3) of your group members combined their shares, what part of
the whole paper they have?
B. Analysis
 How would you find the activity? Why?
 What are you doing in one whole sheet of paper?
 Is there a relationship between the paper and your group?
C. Abstraction
 What is ratio and proportion?
 (Based on their answers, teacher explains further about ratio and
proportion using power point presentation)
D. Application
“Do me a favor!”
In a one-fourth sheet of paper, perform the following expressions into ratio
and proportion:
1. 1 piece of cake is divided into 4 slices
2. 1 teacher handles 45 students
3. 1 loaf of bread is divided by the 5 children
4. 3 monkeys eat 1 banana
5. 1 army kills 8 NPA’s
V. ASSESSMENT
 Perform the following mathematical expressions into ratio and
proportion:

1. ¾
2. 4 divided by 2
3. 8 divided by 2
4. 9/9
5. 21/42

VI. ASSIGNMENT
 What is the equivalent ingredients used in the absence of coconut
milk?
