1. What is TOS iii. Application (Applying)

a. Definitions:
i. A plan prepared by the teacher as a
basis for test construction especially a
periodic test.
ii. It is a two-way chart which describes
the topics to be covered by the test and
the number of items or points which
will be associated with each topic.
iii. It enables the teacher to prepare a test
containing a representative knowledge
in each of the areas tested.
2. Step by Step Approach in writing TOS
a. List down the topics covered for
inclusion in the test and their
objectives. You can use the curriculum
guide for this phase.
b. Specify the number of days/hours
spent for teaching a particular topic
c. Determine percentage allocation of
the test items for each of the topics
covered.
The formula applied is as follows:
% for a topic = Total teaching days/hours
Time spent (days/hours) teaching a topic
d. Determine the number of the items
for each topic. This can be done by
multiplying the percentage allocation
for each topic by the total number of
items to be constructed.
e. Distribute the numbers to the
different domains. The number of
items allocated for each domain
depends on the degree of importance
attached by the teacher to it.
 It requires the pupils to use
previously acquired information
in a setting other than the one in
which it was learned?

iv. Analysis (Analysing)
 It requires the learners to identify
logical errors, differentiate among
facts or draw relationships among

v. Synthesis (Creating)
 Requires learners to produce
something unique or original.
 Example: Bilang mag-aaral, paano
ka makatutulong sa pagpapanatili

vi. Evaluation (Evaluating)
 The learners are required to form
judgments about the value of
methods, ideas, people or product
that have a specific purpose.
