LESSON PLAN IN EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY

CONTENT: Applied productivity tools with advanced application techniques. These advanced
tools and techniques currently include, but are not limited to:
1. Mail merge and label generation
2. Custom animations and timing
3. Hyperlinking in presentations
4. Integrating images and external material in word processors
5. Embedded files and data
6. Advanced and complex formulas and computations

CONTENT STANDARD: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the use of advanced tools
and techniques found in common productivity and software applications in
developing ICT content for specific professional tracks.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learners shall be able to at the end of the 2-week period
independently apply advanced productivity tools to create or develop ICT
content for use in specific professional tracks.

LEARNING COMPETENCY: The learners will use common productivity tools effectively by
maximizing advanced application techniques.

I. OBJECTIVES:
After the session, at least 85% of the learners will be able to:
a. know the tips to avoid copyright infringement; and
b. utilize the tips in conducting online research.

II. SUBJECT MATTER: EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY


a. Topic: Advanced Word Processing Skills
b. Reference: Empowerment Technologies Innovative Training Works, Inc. Pages: 25-32
c. Materials: laptop, Manila papers, Chalk

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparatory Activity:
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Motivation: “Next level na! Game KNB?”
The teacher will have a game and the questions are came from the previous
topics.
B. Presentation of the lesson
a. Activity : “Group Activity”
Each group will discuss some tips they know on how to avoid copyright
infringement and they need to report it to the class.
b. Analysis:
1. How did you find the activity?
2. How did you come up with your answers?
c. Abstraction:
The teacher will give some tips on how to avoid copyright infringement.
Afterwards, the teacher will also discuss some tips in conducting online research.
d. Application: (Think-Pair-Share)
The teacher will ask the students to find their partner. Each pair needs to answer
the following questions:
1. Give some tips to avoid copyright infringement.
2. What are the tips in conducting online research?
