To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to give my recommendation for Christie Thompson to obtain a counseling

position within McKinney Independent School District. I have worked closely with
Christie and can attest to her outstanding work ethic and dedication towards the
well-being of all students.

Christie possesses an exceptional work ethic that goes beyond the minimum
requirements of her job. She takes initiative when she notices a better way to
accomplish a task. For example, as the campus Rti/504 coordinator, she has developed
a strategic organizational system for teachers to easily record and track interventions
and student outcomes. In addition to that, she dedicates her time to making sure
parents are informed about their student and the ways in which they can obtain the
most success. As a department chair, Christie consistently communicates with teams
and offers support with curriculum so that teachers are knowledgeable and can
collaborate to help advance students. I have witnessed the high level of efficacy that
Christie demonstrates, and she does it with a positive and upbeat attitude.

Another outstanding quality that Christie maintains is being passionate about helping all
students achieve success both academically and emotionally. Christie has a heart for
others and you can see that she cares about the well-being of every student. She saw a
need within her campus population and decided to establish a girls group in order to
help specific students with emotional or social concerns. Students feel a sense of
comfort and trust with Christie and they seek her out when they simply need to talk.
There are systems in place that Christie has formed, and students know what to do to
obtain help and also advocate for themselves. She forms authentic relationships with
students and has a desire to help whenever there is a need.

Christie has had the wonderful opportunity of teaching and holding many leadership
roles on her campus. Her character exhibits professionalism, dedication, compassion,
and creativity in problem-solving. She is open-minded and will always choose what is
best for students. Christie consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that students
feel valued and have a strong support system in place. I am confident that Christie will
be an excellent counselor within your school. Although she would be greatly missed on
her campus, Christie will be a wonderful asset to any school family she joins.
