1. INTRODUCTION
This Method of Statement is issued as a confidential document and at all times
remains the property of GFMP. This MOS is a live document and will be
updated from time to time to incorporate changing site circumstance and
client’s recommendations. Copies of this plan will be provided to
subcontractors and other parties working under GFMP.

2. SCOPE OF WORK
Supply, Delivery and Installation of Electrical System.

3. METHOD OF STATEMENT FOR EXCAVATION, PIPE LAYING AND BACK FILLING


1.1 Scope of Activity
The Scope of Method of Statement is to describe the method of
excavation for HDPE Flexible pipe laying for the proposed KALBE
Project, Thilawa SEZ A, Yangon, Myanmar.
1.2 Site Observation
Before Commencement of the planned work, carry out examination
of the physical condition of the area for ongoing activities, blockages
of Ingress/ Egress and the weather condition.
1.3 Method of Statement
Preparation
 Load all equipment required for Job
 Report to KDK and received approval
 Put on personal protective equipment
 Inform all other contractors in the area of start to work
 Liaise with Main contractor and other contractor to be
ensure safe operation
 Cordon of work area
 Ensure the area to be worked and exit points are clear of
obstruction

 Ensure that safe access and egress is maintained


 Determine location of underground services

Producer
 Provide copies of the shop drawings, copy of the permit to
work & necessary instructions. Briefly introduce the
workers on the safety aspects & safe work procedures.
Barricade the area of working.
 Mark out area to be excavated with marker paint
 Bring excavator onto site following safety procedures
listed above
 Ensure trained banksman is available to watch excavation
work
 Dig out ground as per contract drawings to required size
and depth
 All excavations must be left safe at the end of each day
 The bottom of trench will be compacted prior to
installation of sand bedding for the pipe
 The pipe will be laydown as indicated on the approved
shop drawings and according to manufacturer’s writing
instruction
 After pipe laying, back fill will start step by step.

1.4 Waste Management


All waste materials to be removed from site on a daily basis. Trash
collecting bags are to be provided at the working areas. All general
waste to be thrown into the provided trash bags according to the type
of garbage (Segregate waste before disposal) and should be disposed
in to the relevant metal waste bins provided.
Wooden crates or palettes must be dismembered before disposal

To perform general housekeeping every day after the work


Mass housekeeping exercise to be performed on weekly basis

4. METHOD OF STATEMENT FOR MANHOLE CASTING

1.1 Scope of Activity


The Scope of Method of Statement is to describe the method of
excavation and electrical manhole casting for propose KALBE Project,
Thilawa SEZ A, Yangon, Myanmar.
1.2 Site Observation
Before Commencement of the planned work, carry out examination
of the physical condition of the area for ongoing activities, blockages
of Ingress/ Egress and the weather condition.

 Liaise with Main contractor and other contractor to be

 After finished rebar work, pour concrete step by step.

5. METHOD OF STATEMENT FOR LAMP POST Erection.


1.1 Scope of Activity
The Scope of Method of Statement is to describe the method of
erection for the proposed KALBE Project, Thilawa SEZ A, Yangon,
Myanmar.
1.2 Site Observation
Before Commencement of the planned work, carry out examination
of the physical condition of the area for ongoing activities, blockages
of Ingress/ Egress and the weather condition.

 Inform all other contractors in the area of start to work
 Liaise with Main contractor and other contractor to be
ensure safe operation
 Cordon of work area
 Ensure the area to be worked and exit points are clear of

 After excavation put precast base at excavated area and
back filling.

 Ensure the pole is correctly assemble prior to lifting.


 Ensure all lifting tackle is check for its capacity and
adequacy for the weight of pole being lifted.
 Attached a single loop sling around the pole at
approximately two third of overall height, taking care not
to damage the pole finish. The slings shall not be
wrapped tight around the pole
 On the opposite side of the lifting side attached the
safety rope from the sling and attached the other end to
hook which is to be hooked into the access door. Ensure
the safety rope is taught at all time
 Began lifting the pole. After lifting the top of the pole

 After pipe laying, back fill will start step by step.
