EARTHQUAKE RESISTANCE STRUCTURE

EXPERIMENT NO. _____


I- Objectives:
To build a representation of an Earthquake resistant structure out of
alternative and limited materials and demonstrate the effect of
different seismic waves on the made structure.
II- Materials:
Adhesive tapes ruler
Scissors
Papers
String
Broom sticks
III- Procedure
1. Cut the broom sticks on your desired sizes.
2. Cut papers into pieces.
3. Make a paper balls out from cut papers. These will serve as the
joints of the structure.
4. Make a three-dimensional structure by connecting the sticks.
5. Use string to tie on ends to make it stable.
6. Every end point of the sticks, a paper ball should be inserted.
7. You can make a two or three story structure.
8. Measure the height of your structure and record.
