Word 2007 configures every time it starts on a

Windows 10 HP laptop
I had been running Word 2007 on a Windows 10 HP laptop without problems. In
addition, I installed Works 2003 so I could exchange docs (with lots of tabs and
special formatting) with a friend who is using Word 2003. After I installed Works
2003 from an old disk I had, my Word 2007 began configuring upon starting (every
time). I uninstalled Works 2003, but the configuration-upon-starting problem persists
for Word 2007. Any suggestions?

Follow the manual method in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2528748but as you are

using Office 2007, you will have to change the command to:

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t

REG_DWORD /d 1
