Why do we need hands-free lifting:

1. Hands injury represents over 50% of all injuries in the workplace.
2. Very often, the injuries could have been minimized if not fully eliminated with the use of
safer lifting apparatus and tools.
3. Because prevention is better than precaution.

Our objective of hands- free lifting is to eliminate hand and finger injuries by removing them from
the energy source and avoid all caught between, struck-by and struck against incident. A total of

Reasons of hand injuries-

1. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 2006, out of 1,183,500 total injuries 205,000
wrist/hand/finger injuries.
2. The labor force survey 2016-17 shows that out of total 609,000 non-fatal injuries, lifting and
handling was the most reported type of injury with 22%.

PSC Product Range;

1. TAGLINES: taglines or restraint lines must be used when rotation or swinging of the load
is or may become hazardous or if the load needs guidance while in motion, it shall be
provided with taglines, and required taglines must be used “on loads likely to swing or
which need guidance”. Taglines are to be used on any load “where hazards to
employees exists” to under control the load according to the Title 29,section 1926.953(d)
of the code of Federal Regulations .

When taglines can be used:

1.The load suspended by the crane in a static(non moving) condition swings, or is likely
to swing back and forth (due to wind or other external factors), creating a control hazard.
Not only for the crane operator or bank man, but a landing and placement hazard.
2. The movement of the crane or boom causes, or is likely to cause the load to swing out
of control, creating a hazardous condition.
3. The load rotates, has rotated, or is likely to rotate in such a manner as to be out of
control, creating a hazardous condition.

We offer three types of taglines exclusive of each other:

to PP ropes. These are made in Iceland in technical cooperation with a major drilling
operator.
PSC Rigtools Tagline- Rigtools taglines allows personnel to have greater control of the
lifting operation from a safe distance. It has high visibility nylon rope which enables the
rope to be seen from a far away place.
PSC SafeGuider High-viz Anti Tangle Tagline- It is an economical alternative to our
PSC loadguider taglines. It is flexible which makes it easy to store it.
 2. TAGLINE RETRIEVER TOOLS: Tagline Retriever Tools are designed to safely retrieve
taglines without a load handler having to go too close to a suspended load. Every industry has
one or the other kind of load lifting requirements that poses risk to the workers. According to the
U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics reports more than 50,000 “struck by falling objects” injuries have
been observed each year in the United States. Handling and storing loads can sometimes
become a challenging problem can cause you your life or might left you with some serious
injuries which can further cost you a fortune.

Moving loads mechanically can increase the potential of serious injuries. Workers should be
aware of about the mechanical handling techniques and and safety concerns. Workers should
avoid handling over-weighed loads, even the equipments have a fixed capacity over which it will

PSC TRT 3P Extendable-this is a utility tool that is 6ft long when fully collapsed and
extends up to 12ft in 6’’ increments and is tested up to 175 lbs.

PSC SafeGuider & Tagline Retriever Tool- this is an lightweight tool used for the hands-
free guiding, directing of heavy crane,forklift loads and retrieving the taglines.

perform tasks like moving or lifting or small loads in a manner so as to avoid pinch and crush
injuries.

4. PUSH/PULL POLES: push pull poles aid in “hands free” guiding, spotting and landing
suspended loads, manoeuvring drill pipe and all types of tubular on pipe racks or on the
platform, snagging taglines and sling legs,etc.

Push pull poles provides a safety zone to personnel to manoeuvre and guide suspended loads
while avoiding pinch points and crush points. With the use of these tools workers do not place
