and Son’s Company and, Mr.Shukla, without his support
all these things was not possible. I would like to say
thanks to my father he's the only one who helped me in
this project, after my father's friend Mr.Shukla is become
my friend too.
I am deeply indebted to my Director Mr.Ramdas and
Ms.shanti my section head who modeled me both
technically and morally for achieving greater success.
INTRODUCTION
A Power Distribution Unit (PDU) and Main Distribution
Unit (MDU) is a device fitted with multiple outputs designed to
distribute electric power, especially to racks of computers and
networking equipment located within the datacenter. Data
centers face challenges in power protection and
Management solutions.

PDUs vary from simple and inexpensive rack-mounted power


strips to larger floor-mounted PDUs with multiple functions
including power filtering to improve power quality, intelligent
load balancing, and remote monitoring and control
by LAN or SNMP.

In data centers, larger PDUs are needed to power multiple server


cabinets. Each server cabinet may require multiple high current
circuits possibly from different phases of incoming power or
different UPSs. Standalone cabinet PDUs are self-contained
units that include main breakers, individual circuit breakers, and
power monitoring panels. The cabinet provides internal bus bars
for neutral and grounding. Prepunched top and bottom panels
allow for safe cable entry.[3]
History of the company
About company this company is present in Bhilai one of the
leading company in Bhilai for manufacturing and selling of power
distribution unit and panel making unit.
• This company run by Mr.Shukla and his younger son since
1982 , they started making small unit of panel like 20 unit
per months then after 1992 the production line is increased
by 75 to 80 as introduction of new customer “Jindal
company”

• Local company also are the customer of this company, after


one year in 1993, B.S.P, the biggest unit of steel production
unit of sail become customer of this company afterward this
company never look back
• Production line is increased by 200 to 4oo unit per year ,

• By the end of 2014 the annual production of power


distribution unit and panel is about 934 unit

• The worker capacity of this company is about 200 with


managing director of company Mr. Ram Kumar.
• With main unit of the company one branch is also started in
Bilaspur in 2013.

Expenses and profit

• Due to company policy they never disclose actual data of


their finance, but they provide me some data about
expenses and profit
• The company take its parts and other required things
on credit , according to order they produce panels and
PDU, for each panel they expenses 4 to 5 lakhs and they
sell to customer of 7 to 9 lakhs
• For large panel they expense at least 12 to 13 lakhs and
they sales it from 16 to 17 lacks per unit
• The average net profit is around 10 to 15 %
According to company information.

Five ways to improve the sales by 20%

• As I observed the company , they can increased its growth if


they also install paint assembly in company because they
send panel and body of electrical system to other company
for paint

• Production is increased if they expend their work shops ,


they only have one branch which is 320 k.m. away from
main unit

• Company image can be popularize if they start C.S.R


activity more

• Training can be given to employee for more efficient work

Almost every unit is checked and performs well. The
best part is they give me lots of information about
products and in my point of view company is going to
success vastly.
