Student Placement Form

In early June we will begin the thinking and planning process for student placement for September 2019 school year.
The placement of students in classes is a very thoughtful and complex process. During our placement discussions,
consideration is given to many factors such as: Child’s learning styles, behavioural and social needs, peer
relationships, class size limits, class composition, male/female ratio, as well as the instructional needs in the class. If
you would like to make a request about next year’s class placement, please complete the form available from the
office and please return it by Monday, June 3rd. When children are placed in classrooms, it is for the educational
reasons and parent input is valued. Educationally sound requests will be considered as we work as a team to
construct balanced classrooms with consideration given to the factors provided above. There are forms at the
office.

proud to be hosting this event.

Warmer Weather is here! F G Leary Dress Code

We are a place of learning, and in that environment, it is important that the students present
themselves accordingly. We want our children to be aware of what their fashions say about
themselves and dress in a way that demonstrates self-respect. Below are some guidelines to
keep in mind when thinking about what is appropriate in our learning environment.

Clothing should be appropriate for children in an elementary school setting

NO make up

We do not want to see undergarments of any kind

The midriff area is to be covered at all times

Shorts and skirts should be a respectable length and style

Clothing is to have no reference to inappropriate comments or bad language

Students that are dressed inappropriately will be asked to change, cover up or be provided with clothing. Our goal is
not to embarrass anyone. Requests are made respectfully in a way that maintains student dignity.

SPORTS DAY – JUNE 25

All students will be participating in a fun filled day of exciting activities. Cops for Cancer will be hosting a
fundraiser at lunch. More information to come.
