This document is explanation of how to update R24 system data.

Important Notice
================

Do not use Update file to equipments other than R24.

It is possible to loss data or system of other instruments.

It is possible to loss data which you created,

when it happens shut down the power by accident during updater execution.

Please note that we hold no responsibilities to meet inquiries about update file
or operating procedure of R24 update mode.

Please read this document carefully for your operation at your own risk.

Requirements of update
======================

You need the equipments for system update as below;

- System Data(R24SYS.BIN)
- SD card

Execution of update
===================

1.Copy System Data(R24SYS.BIN) into root directory of the SD card.

*For information on connecting the R24 to a computer, see the section

"Card reader" on page 106 of operation manual.

2.Power on while push "PLAY" key.

3.R24 displays as below;

SYSTEM X.XX->Y.YY
OK [CANCEL]

X.XX is the current version, Y.YY is the update version.

4.Select "OK" by "<>" key and push "ENTER" key.

5.When update will be completed normally, R24 displays "COMPLETE!".

Please turn the power off.

After update started, it is impossible to operate data.

And do not operate R24 or turn the power off during the updating.
Confirmation of updated system
==============================

You can confirm the updated version while turning the power of R24 or
entering SYSTEM>VERSION menu by "TOOL" key.

Error Messages
==============

- No Update File
There is not System Data(R24SYS.BIN) in root directory of the SD card.
Please confirm whether it is copied correctly.

- Canceled
Updating is canceled.
Please follow the procedure of updating to update again.

Please contact Zoom Service, in case of no-win situation with many times.
In that case, please keep memo of error message which we need.
