My five year plan is an easy, and simple plan. After I graduate from highschool I plan on
attending the community college. My reasonings for wanting to attend the community college
are very simple, the cost won’t be a burden on me and they have a nursing plan which I plan on
attending. My plan is also to become a nurse as fast as possible so I can start supporting myself
financially so I plan on taking summer classes and studying year round to hopefully meet all the
For my first year after highschool I plan on taking summer classes as soon as I graduate
and working 6 days out of the week. The classes that I have registered so far for summer school is
a literature class and a P.E course. Luckily they are both online so I won’t have to ever step on
the merced college campus, so with me not having to be in a class physically I will have a lot of
free time and with that freetime I will be working out in the fields with my parents. When Fall
comes I will be biology, chemistry, and english 1a.I know that these classes are hard but I will do
For my second year of attending college it should be my last year of taking prerequisite
classes.I will again be working to support myself financially and also attending classes. With all
the money I have been saving up for I want to buy myself a car or save up for later after I
become a registered nurse I can put a downpayment for a house.Over the course of the two years

I will be very stingy with my money and not buy anything that I want, only the things I will
need. After hopefully passing my prerequisite courses I should be ready to apply for the nursing
program or I will transfer to Fresno state and become a nurse their. I am leaning more into the
nursing program at merced college because it is local and I won’t be taking out student loans to
Hopefully by the third year I get accepted into the nursing program and my journey
finally begins. I would focus all of my time studying and whenever I can I would work , but
overall I would focus most of my energy on the books.I would also like to be committed to going
to the gym and getting bigger as I see that most male nurses are very big and muscular.
After my fourth year of graduating from high school it should be my last year taking the
nursing program and by the end of the year I should officially be a registered nurse.Apart of the
nursing program is getting hands on experience so at this stage of the program I should be
interacting with patients as if I were a nurse but under supervision of course. In this stage of my
academic career I would be searching out hospitals where they are hiring nurses and I would start
preparing and getting my resume ready for as soon as I become a registered nurse I would start
applying. However since I would have been having hands on experience wherever that may be I
would try to get a good word in for myself or try and build relationships with people who might
By the fifth year I hope to be having a job as a nurse and be working full time. With the
mentality that I have built over the years of grueling hard work I would work tirelessly at my
new job knowing what the meaning of true hard work means and at this point in my life I would
try to buy myself a home for myself or even be a landlord to make even more income. However

knowing how life works, it is never as simple as a straight line so throughout the next couple of
years I will adjust myself to at whatever obstacles life throws at me and will follow my plan as
closely as possible.
