Reflective Essay

I am most proud about my Integrity essay because it was the most though and effort I have

put into an assignment all year. It is also not an easy assignment, a lot of creativity and thought

had to go into this assignment to get it completed. The student had to write six paragraphs

pertaining to his integrity is and will be built into their life. One had to choose a object and break

down the object into its different components and give each one a title and how it had or

eventually will built integrity into their lives. Each component of the object had to be labeled

structure, style, cohesion, strength, durability, and direction. I chose a door and broke it down

into six different parts and explained how each part builds one of the previous traits pertains to

my life.

Over my first three years of high school I have struggled in the test category. But

throughout this year, my percentages in that category has gone up a larger amount. I have taken

more time out of my free time at home to study more to prepare myself for the test. I also take

advantage of SSR we have before third period to try and get extra time to work on assignments

then. Now that my testing categories have gone up, my overall grade in the class has gone up as

well.
A category I have struggled in the past four years of high school is the homework category.

The reason I struggle in this category is because I usually don’t do homework after school

because of late practices. I plan to become better in this category in college by taking more time

out of my day and focusing on homework. This category can be very beneficial because it

doesn't only boost the scoring to your grade in that category, but can improve one's knowledge

towards the subject matter and can lead to improvements in other categories as well.

Great Oak has prepared me for college in a few different ways. First the workload and ethic

they have given to us throughout our high school experience. They have given students work

from different classes and encouraged students positive work ethic to accomplish the tasks given.

Giving us work from different classes also teaches us time management. I’ve learned how to

balance school work, social life, and athletics because of the experience I have had in high

school. Knowing this skill will make my college experience that much earlier because it will be

time efficient and will give off less stress.
