Effects of Walwal to College Student

It’s Friday, and all the stresses accumulated since Monday has already ended. We now look forward to
the weekend.

What do we usually do on a Friday night? Yes! Walwal!

And by means of walwal I am pertaining to the usual things we do with our peers on our leisure time
aside from drinking.

Good day everyone, I am Vince Regala and I am here to present a talk with regards towards the pros and
cons of walwal to us, college students.

Let’s be honest, college is pretty tough and that we all experienced the so called “culture shock” in
terms of the standards in academics in a university. We struggled and crawled along exams, quizzes and
other activities that all contribute in this stress that has accumulated too much that we somehow tend
to have breakdowns.

But then, there will always be days where everything is somehow chill. Our hectic schedules begin to
loosen and we start to plan spontaneous trips with our peers with a single “Uy Tara Walwal!”

Let me post the pros and cons of walwal to us college students!

For the pros:

One is that, Walwal relieves all our stresses with academics, am I right?? After all the quizzes, tests,
practicals we med students endured, we deserve this free day wherein we could have fun “di ba?”
Hence, we can somehow say that walwal is a gateway to free ourselves from stress.

Secondly, it also becomes a time wherein we get to catch up with our friends after all the workloads we
had that basically took up all our time sacrificing our social lives. It provides us time to keep up with our
long lost friends and know what is up with their lives, after all the busy work we’ve done.

Now for the cons:

It’s pretty much obvious for us to know that Walwal with our friends is somehow costly, yes, it’s a one
time, yolo, thing to do with your friends to go all out of our wallets and do what we want in order to
have fun. But it is an impractical way of saying that you’re willing to go broke for the next week and
make “tipid” and just eat “siomai rice”

Aside from it being costly, walwal can become a habit or addiction, we can get lost in to drinking too
much or even hanging out with our friends for the least, but lack of responsibility to ourselves can lead
us to becoming too lazy and caught up of the fun that we tend to forget or worse, ditch the academics
we should do in order to pass
To sum it up, yes walwal is a great way to catch up with friends and relieve ourselves from stress, but as
college students, we should be responsible enough, yes, we deserve to have fun at some point after all
the exams we worked hard for, but we should always keep in mind that we should know our limits.
Some have stereotypes that if you party too much, you have failing grades. But I surely am against that,
because everything is possible we just have to know how to balance things. Just like what Russell
Westbrook said, “why not?”

For the last time, I would like you guys to remember the first three words of walwal.

W. A. L: WORK. Afterwards. Leisure.

It is okay to have fun after all the hard work, just remember to keep things in moderation.

Thank you
