tine Bureau. Our experts are of the opinion that it was the inferior material us
ed that caused the deterioration. This mishap has caused us a great loss. Theref

We have had the case and contents examined by the insurance surveyor, who conclu
ded that the damage was due to insecure packing
On CIF basis, we assume responsible for risks only up to the time the goods are
placed on board the carrying vessel.
We agree to make up for your losses by reducing our price in the mew contract.
We have already got in touch with the underwriters but they refuse to take any l
iability. They attribute the loss to the dampness during the ling sea voyage.
The goods were badly damaged upon arrival and they are unsaleable.
I presume the damage must have occurred either during transit or before shipment
.
The evidence you have provided is inadequate. Therefore we can not consider your
complaint.
We will have to reject your claim as the liability does nit rest with us.
A close examination was done upon the arrival of the goods and some of the bags
were found not in good condition.
Your shipment of our Order 369 has been found short-weight by 300 kilos, for whi
ch we must file a claim of $800 including the inspection fee.

Dear Sirs,
We are very sorry to know that 10 washing machines were damaged due to broken p
ackages. However it is not our faith.
First, the cases we used for packing washing machines are specially made for exp
ort, as you may see that they are all labeled “Export Packing” by the authorized sur
veyor. Second, the clean bill of lading proves fully the goods in question were
loaded in perfect condition. Therefore, it is clear that the damage to the woode
n cases has been caused by rough handling on voyage or when unloading at your po
rt.
Under such circumstances, we can not be held responsible for the damage. As the
shipment is covered against All Risks, we would rather advise you to file the cl
aim with the insurance company as soon as possible. We would of course do anythi
ng on our power to help you in your insurance claim.

We received your shipment of glassware of glassware. However, we found a mumbe
r of the wooden cased and the contents inside were broken. Our surveyor. The Ent
ry- Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, re-inspected the whole shipment. The
survey report shows that the breakage is due to bad stowage, as it is a fact tha
t the cases were put under machines in the same hold, this mishap has caused us
great inconvenience. For this, we shall ask for a compensation of $ 8,000.

Your complaint about the delay in shipment has been noted and we are really very
sorry that we have not been able to ship your order on time because of the late
arrival of some of the raw materials.
You have evidently sent us the wrong goods, and , as we are in urgent need fot t
he shirts that we order, this error has caused us much inconvenience.
As you know, the demand for these goods is seasonal. We shall, therefore, be com
pelled to cancel this order and buy elsewhere.
Your goods reached us quite late. As a consequence, we lost the golden opportuni
ty of capturing the whole European markets.
If you can supply sill and woolens of novel design and high quality, we would pl
ace a substantial order.
We hereby inform you that our stock is exhausted and we hope you can make delive
ry as quickly as possible.
The non-execution of our order has put us in a tight corner. Therefore, we ask f
or a reasonable compensation.
Our users are complaining that your delivery does not turn out to our expectatio
n.
Please prepare the goods immediately to meet the customer’s demand.
Several cases have fallen to pieces. And we impress upon you the necessity of re
placements as soon as possible.

Dear Sirs
we are referring to our Order No.168 for T-shirts. When we gave you our order
on M ay 15 we stated explicitly that we wanted delivery not later than June 15 a
nd you have confirmed this accordingly.
Two months have passed since then but we are surprised that we have not yet rece
ived the goods or any advice from you when we can expect delivery.
We must point out to you that T-shirts are seasoned goods. As this delay has cau
sed us very serious inconvenience, we are compelled to cancel the order. Meanwhi
le, we request you to give a reason for the non-execution and make compensation
for our loss totaling $5,000.
