ABSTRACT
PURPOSE
 The experiment is carried out to investigate the wear characteristics of varying Sic-
graphite particles reinforced aluminium 6061 composites subjected to an aging
duration of 4hr at a temperature of about 448K.
 To investigate the hardness vs aging behaviour of the prepared composites.

APPROACH/METHODOLOGY
The liquid metallurgy route is followed to prepare composite specimens for different weight
percentages of SiC and graphite particles.The prepared specimens were aged at different time
intervals and the wear test is taken for an aging duration of 4hr using pin on disc
apparatus.The hardness measurements were taken for different aging durations of 1hr,2hr,3hr.
