Questions

by caul on May 12, 2010 (8:02 pm)

Just bought the pdf, and I love what I have read...can't wait to try it out...

I'll be posting my questions as they occur to me here.

Why gold and copper? (copper seems useless to me, particularly if you use the Treasure Awaits in Town equipment list, which if I remember correctly has nothing for sale that one could
purchase with copper...and what is the exchange rate anyway?)

Does a Dwarf half the penalty to see in darkness as well, or just by the light of a torch?

That's all the questions I have for now...can't wait to tinker with this game as well as play it as is...

Hi. Rules-wise, copper is just valued less, so it's like winning fewer points. There's really no other reason, except that it also gives the director some room to experiment with treasures and
his own costs for equipment. The conversion is on page 19 of Book 3: 100 coppers to one gold.

Halve all darkness penalties for Dwarves, so yes even darkness.

Thanks.
