I have had the pleasure of getting to know Alfonso Garcia over the few years and even more this year as
his AP Government Teacher. I am honored to write a letter of recommendation on his behalf.

Alfonso is a very active student on campus and is a great role model for all to follow. He
demonstrates great leadership qualities and a strong work ethic. As you can see by his records, these
habits have continuously showed in all aspects of his course work. Alfonso has maintained a 4.1
G.PA. while being a part of various clubs such as The Drama Club and The Journalism Club.
However, Alfonso has shined by being a big part of our Student Leadership Team. He has been the
Sophomore Vice President and is the current Director of Rallies, which takes a tremendous amount of
time and dedication. Alfonso has been a member of the cheerleading squad the past two years, and
has volunteered countless hours to our local Play House of Merced. Along with the fore mentioned
activities Alfonso has taken many advanced placement and honors classes such as: Computer Science,
Economics, English, Government, Physics, and Spanish. His involvement with many campus
activities, taking rigorous classes and maintaining a 4.1 G.P.A. speaks volumes to Alfonso’s character
and time management skills.

Alfonso demonstrates professionalism when dealing with students, staff members, and administrators.
He is very articulate and works well with adults and students alike. I for one, feel very fortunate to have
gotten to know Alfonso over the past few years.

Alfonso is determined to continue his education and make a career for himself. He has exemplified to
me the skills and ability needed to succeed. Without hesitation, I would recommend Alfonso as a most
deserving candidate for your consideration.
