beginning is justified. In the same way the diverse causes by which people migrate to other

countries are shown. Clarifying the push factor very concisely. It also shows how immigrants

suffer because of the laws that first-class countries impose. All this to achieve awareness about

the migratory problem in the world. On the other hand, this report has the purpose of informing

Immigration, a Problem on a Large Scale.

Introduction

Immigration is a problem that affects nations worldwide. It is a very common theme in

countries of all levels. Immigration affects people. People are commonly affected at the labor

and economic levels. The problem of immigration goes beyond the economic. The migration

problem affects the countries that receive them, but they also affect the families of migrants.

Migrants are also affected by social rejection. Minorities suffer, for the most. Families that

migrate to other countries are affected by their laws. Inhuman conditions, treatment, and

separation, that is some of the problems that immigrants suffer day by day.

To counteract the problem, different measures have been implemented. The most powerful

countries in most cases exercise the hardline law. The laws must be more humanitarian and

inclusive for migrants.

Who is an Immigrant?

People think immigrants are a problem that starts some decades ago. The problem of

immigration more than a century. The first immigrants arrived from Europe in search of better

opportunities. At first, the new citizens came only for work. These early immigrants had jobs that

American Citizens did not seem attractive. Long working days for very little pay. Abuse and

social judgments. The immigrants received a social rejection by the Americans. The immigrants

faced the dilemma of remaining on foreign soil or returning to

their country of origin. Curiously, this problem has not stopped

over the years. (Nation of immigrants [Video file]. 1976).

Immigrant as seen like and invaders for the society. But

people don’t know too much about what an Immigrant is. The

definition of Immigrant according to Guskin, J., & Wilson, D. L.

(2017) “Terms such “unauthorized,” “out of status,” or

“undocumented” are used to describe immigrants who are living

comes without permission from the federal government who are violating terms of their stay.”

Which helps us to have a precise idea of who the immigrants really are. This information helps

to understand what Immigrant is in a better concept. Most people think an Immigrant is a person

who come from another ethnicity. Much people here the in the United States come from non-

American parents, they are United States citizen, but they also have another cultural or racial

precedence. People within the country call even migrants' people who come from a rural area.

Why People Immigrate?

People migrate for many reasons. The main factors are the economic ones. In search of

better opportunities to survive, people decide to move to another country. All in order to have a

better future. There have also been cases of fleeing for political reasons. The dictatorship of

politicians affects the quality of life of the people who live there. Guskin, J., & Wilson, D. L.

“Millions of people continue to migrate because their communities are devastated by poverty and

violence. For others, it may be possible to survive in their communities, but by migrating they

can get jobs.” (2017). This helps to understand why people decide to emigrate to other countries.

This tells us that people move out of necessity. They do not emigrate for pleasure; situations

lead to that decision. When a family is hungry or fears for their lives, they decide to leave in

search of a better future, leaving behind all their past. Migrating is a difficult decision.

First world countries are the main recipients of migrants. The countries with the greatest

economic power are hope. Get out of bad conditions and have a better quality of life, these are

the two premises of immigrants. According to Guskin, J., & Wilson, D. L. (2017) “Some

immigrants are drawn to the United States because it promises certain freedoms, like freedom

of speech and religion” It is famous that the United States has been coming for many years. The

reality about the United States may not exactly as established in other countries. For

immigrants, the American dream is the best. Reaching a country with such quality of life, good

jobs and freedom of expression is vital. This type of ideas is those that generate the excess of

migration to the country. Arriving in the United States does not guarantee a better life.

However, migrants live with the idea that reaching the United States in a larger country

economically is the only way out. As mentioned earlier in small countries or with low quality of

life are those who leave. Immigrants generally settle in economically stronger, more sable

countries that are comparatively easy to reach. Migrants from Mexico, central and south

America, the Caribbean, and parts of East Asia tend to settle in the United States (Guskin, J., &

Wilson, D. L. 2017). Countries like these are minorities in the United States. These countries are

of lower global position and less economic stability are the largest exporters of migrants. As the

main exporters of immigrants, the American society segregates and labels people who come

from outside the country. It is important to know what countries come from the immigrants.

People come from countries that are

famous for their shortcomings.

Something that should be highlighted

is that the United States receives more

migrants from neighboring countries.

What are the Factors against Immigrants?

Being an immigrant is not easy. Multiple factors interfere with the dream of reaching a

better country. Immigrants are affected in many ways. One of them is the different laws that the

countries interpose to try to stop the excess of foreign population. A very famous law in the

United States and much criticized was the law "Zero Tolerance". The separation of children born

in the United States. This practice condemns the undocumented according to Jordan M. (2018)

"A new" zero tolerance "policy, calling for criminal prosecution of everyone who enters the

country illegally." In this way thousands of children are separated from their families. This law

directly affects thousands of families. People who emigrated illegally and had children now

would be expelled and treated as criminals.

The separation of families

just for not belonging to the

country is very serious. Take into

account that many children are

involved. This generates family

separation and puts at risk the

physical and mental stability of

many children. Their parents,

people who in a certain way are already part of the society of the United States, would be

expelled as criminals. According to Kopan "Hundreds of children separated from their parents at

the US-Mexico border remainder from them, including 497 in government custody" and "The

figure includes 22 children under the age of 5 still in government care Six of those are 4 years

old or younger whose parents were deported without them. " This shows us that the government

is not doing things in a very humanitarian way.

The government separates families no matter what. It does not take into account the suffering of

its young citizens. These laws are very cold and not very humanitarian. However, they are

applied to the full extent of the law, affecting thousands of families which are separated.

Something incredible about these laws is the waiting time to gather the families that were

separated. The children of immigrants who in most cases are minors must be away from their

parents. Non-citizen parents have to be uncertain as to whether they will see their children again

and how long the waiting time will be.

But the United States is not the only place where very tough laws against immigration are

implemented. The European Union also have lacks good immigration laws. On the one hand, the

European Union rejects Trump's law. However, according to Lister T. (2018) "More than 1,000

would be migrants and refugees are known to have died at sea this year trying to reach Europe,

but there is no coordinated rescue response, the European Union has left it to merchant ships and

nongovernmental organizations to pick up those adrift And two of those NGOs have been

detained in Malta". This shows that Europeans do not provide support in a complete way. As you

can see, Europe scarcely supports immigrants. How immigrants arrive on this continent is an

absolute problem of oneself. Proving that the support is mediatic.

Reflection.
IMMIGRATION A PROBLEM ON A LARGE SCALE. 9

As you can show the immigrants go through many problems. It's not just crossing a border.

The problem is much bigger afterwards. The rejection of society is demonstrated by the laws that

are interposed. Many people lose and leave their families behind only to seek a better future. The

immigrant looks for his future day by day. Immigrants cannot stop the dream of wanting to

progress. Immigrants are brave who risk their lives only to provide a better future for their

families. Most people who move to another country in search of better opportunities are people

who have large families. Seldom is the immigrant selfish, the immigrant is always thinking about

his own. To be a better person with a better future, those are the goals of an immigrant.

Unfortunately, the great powers do not have open arms to receive immigrants. On the contrary,

they are seen in a bad way and they try to avoid entering the country at all costs. Laws

implemented in very unfair ways. You need to make a change to these laws because they all

forget something very important. Immigrants are human beings. People do not decide where they

are going to be born, but where they want to live and what future they should have. The laws

have to be more tolerant with the people who come to contribute something good to the

countries. Because if this does not change, we will fail categorically as humanity.
