Greetings from Singapore Polytechnic (SP)!

It was a privilege for SP to have hosted participants from the Lao Youth Union and the National
University of Laos at the recent Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC) programme in September
2018.

With the generous support and sponsorship of the ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Cooperation
Fund, SP will be organising a 10-day Enhancing Tertiary Engineering Education Workshop in SP
from 18 to 28 February 2019 (18 – 23 Feb, break on 24 Feb, 25 – 28 Feb) for selected faculty members of
renowned Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) from the ASEAN Member States (AMS). SP and the IHLs
from other AMS share a common interest to enhance tertiary education to meet the evolving needs of
the industry in a global economy.

At this workshop, SP would like to share its experience in the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate

(CDIO) Teaching and Learning Framework, and also hope to facilitate cross-learning and sharing
amongst all the participants and IHLs. SP would thus like to cordially invite up to 10 engineering
faculty members from National University of Laos (NUoL) to attend this workshop please. For more
information on the programme, please refer to the attached e-brochure for your perusal. I also attached
the registration form, which should be completed and submitted to SP by 14 December
2018 please. The detailed programme and admin matters will be sent to the participants closer to the
workshop date.
