Middle East & online presence. The brand is admired for the craftsmanship in its product, destined for style
conscious urban women.
Accomplishments:
Developed marketing plans & managed promotion campaigns from inception to successful completion.
Managed the allocated annual promotional budget and ensures successful management of expenses.

3. Karaikal Port
Deputy Manager – Corporate Communication, 2/2018 to Present
Work Location: At Port head office in chennai.
Karaikal Port is a Deep water sea port spread over 600 acres of land at Karaikal (Tamil Nadu). The Port is
Gateway for export & import of cargoes between industries majorly in Tamil Nadu & Ports in South East
Asia, Middle East, Australia & Africa.
The Port annually handles 15 million metric tonne of cargoes as Cement, Coal, Iron Ore, Petroleum
Products, Fertilizer & Agro Products.
Role Summary:
Devise and execute an overall Corporate Communications strategy to support the key business goals.
Coordination and development of materials that include powerpoint presentations for investors &
clients, press releases, scripts, website content, company-wide emails, client newsletter, media
relations content, case studies, social media content and other materials.
Develop annual communication calendar inline with business objective & manage communication
budget.
Develop ad content, article & spotlight coverage for trade magazine.
Working on new company website with enhanced layout, content & port updates.
Post updates in linkedIn.
Corporate Film: Corporate film & short films on new infrastructures developed at Port to showcase
during client discussions & investors meet. Role include developing story ideas, initial video drafts,
assist agency during production & post editing, proofread.
The Company is an active member of CII Puducherry. Have represented & promoted the brand in
related meets organized by CII.
Have worked with industries as Cement, Coal, Power, Textile, Agro for new business and volume
additions.
Have conducted roadshow events in various industrial belt of Tamil Nadu for bringing in container
cargoes for exports.
Fully responsible for organizing roadshow that include client mapping & bringing in prospective client
for the roadshow, branding and promotion, host the show, present business cases, client networking &
generate business leads through the show.
Accomplishment: Have developed container cargo business of 25,000 TEU from scratch in an year time.
Have executed corporate events for clients to highlight the new infrastructure developments at port
and drive business.
Developed presentations & have showcased business cases & ROI.
Developed infrastructure specific videos to showcase in the event.
Accomplishment through Corporate Events:
a) Contract signed with power companies as Puducherry Power Company & PPN Power for supply of
LNG fuel.
b) Has enabled companies as JSW, Zuari Fertilizers, Ramco Cement, TNEB bring in higher capacity Post
Panamax & Capesize ships, giving cost benefit to customer & boosting revenues to Port.
c) Penna Cement & Omya setting up facilities in Port.
d) Cargo movement to Bangladesh converted from road transport to sea transport.
The Port has been part of various cargo & shipping related conference / expos and an active sponsor of
these events to enhance brand recall.
Have represented the company & made brand presentation in national level conferences.
Lead generation through stall participation in expos & other relevant brand building exercises.
Media Outreach:
Organized press meet to highlight new cargo additions, capacity expansion & other milestone
accomplishments.
Prepared press releases, stories for trade magazines & have interfaced with media.
Managed media crisis by reacting immediately through press releases & responding to feedbacks.
CSR Accomplishments:
Have initiated below CSR activities in benefit of inhabitants around Port & promoted the initiatives in press
media & other promotion mediums.
Have collaborated with “L&T Skill Training Institute, Kancheepuram” & provided job opportunities for
skilled workers near the Port.
“Dr. Kalam Science Training Institute” is instituted at Karaikal near the Port & students are trained in
field of Robotics & Aerospace.
