The oil crisis and environmental constraints are forcing many car manufacturers
to develop important research programs in the development of electric and
hybrid electric vehicles. So, in order to maintain our mobility experience, it is
extremely important to find clean and efficient propulsion solutions. This is why
systemic optimal control and energy management in electric vehicles is a major
issue. In this context, this thesis mainly concerns the propulsion system that
could be optimized for efficient energy management and easy installation of
energy sources in the car(fuel cell, battery).
The first part focuses on the control of the powertrain by the sliding mode
control in the first place, and following the drawbacks of this technique
(chattering), a control method has been proposed to reduce chatterring, such as a
Hybrid Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (HFSMC). Despite the application of these
method mentioned above, we can see that these technique can not completely
eliminate the problem of chatterring in the electric motor (MSAP) of the vehicle,
thus affecting the performance of the vehicle. For this reason it was suggested to
combine the strengths of three methods such as sliding mode, fuzzy logic, and
neural networks by assembling them in a hybrid and robust strategy, to exclude
the problem of chattering and to guarantee the improvement of energy
efficiency. This strategy applied to the VE global system (MSAP and vehicle
dynamics) with a real driving cycle.
