Supersonic Airliners

I think that one thing is the skill of the humanity to make supersonic passenger flights, that we
have proved that we can, and one different is that this idea is worth it. I think that it is not
necessary to travel so fast because we have many challenges for the moment to solve. I think
that we should research for more economic ways to fly, in one hand to make possible to fly for
everybody whatever it is its wealth, and in the other hand to extend and solve the limited
resources of oil.

I think that this talk is full of cheap sentimentality and fairy tales that are really far from the
reality. It is very easy to talk about feelings and our sons without keeping in mind the sons of
the rest of the world. We should investigate how to make the aviation more harmless for the
environment and for everybody and we should think in the common good.

I don’t think that the company will have to deal with new technological and technical
difficulties because supersonic flight is not something new and we have been done it for many
decades. Even many supersonic passenger planes have been designed and built.

The environmental problems related to supersonic flights are, in first place we have to burn
more fuel to reach higher altitude and higher speeds. In the second place we make a lot of
noise due to the sonic booms. There was a study made in one city in the USA that proved
impossible to deal with sonic booms daily. This is the reason of the speed limits in the US
airspace. I agree with these limitations and I hope for the common good that they won´t be
banned.

Another thing that I’m not agree is the comparison between this company and the other
companies in the past. The presenter used up ego talking of himself like this. Objectively a big
company will be always more qualified to make a project that a small company. The speech of
the entrepreneurship and the “garage business” have done a lot of harm in the mind of
everybody.
