A PROJECT SYNOPSIS

on

“AGRI MART”

ABSTRACT:
AGRI MART: - The software which is designed provides easy access of the
data in advanced and ordered fashion. The software provides the picture of
organized Retail stores, they are the market leader in the field of Retailing.
These stores have been very successful in its strategy of upgrading the
consumer in the business segment.
Organized stores have made sure that it makes its consumers move up the
product chain by introducing same products to the new customers.

INTRODUCTION:
The project entitled AGRI MART is a retail shop consists of the sale of goods
or merchandise from a fixed location. In commerce, a "retailer" buys goods or
products in large quantities from manufacturers or importers, either directly or
through a wholesaler, and then sells smaller quantities to the end-user. Retail
establishments are often called shops or stores. Retailers are at the end of the
supply chain. Manufacturing marketers see the process of retailing as a
necessary part of their overall distribution strategy. The term "retailer" is also
applied where a service provider services the needs of a large number of
individuals, such as a public utility, like electric power. Shops may be on
residential streets, shopping streets with few or no houses or in a shopping mall.
EXISTING SYSTEM:

 Lack of Security:
Usually for normal filing system there is lack of security as there is no
limitation on who can access the file.
 Low data retrieval:
Through manual filing system, the data will be kept in file according to the
year. This may take time to search for the information needed.
 Data redundancy and consistency:
The same data may be stored in various files as they are related with each
other. Example: - Same patient getting treated for other Tooth
 No backup and recovery :
If the information such as patient's previous record with images is lost or
damaged, the Dental Clinic will lose all the valuable information.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

The software is used in retail shop is to maintain the records of agro equipments
seeds in advanced fashion instead of paper document.
Automated Retail stores are self service, robotic kiosks located in malls and
retail stores.

OBJECTIVE:

The concept retail which includes the shopkeeper to customer interaction, has
taken many forms and dimensions, from the traditional retail outlet and street
local market shops to upscale multi brand outlets, especially stores or
departmental stores. Though at this moment, it is still premature to say that the
Indian retail market will replicate the success stories of names such as Wal-Mart
stores but at least the winds are blowing in the direction of growth.

Hence, focusing on two aspects of retail marketing i.e. Store Retailing and Non-
store Retailing. Store Retailing as the departmental store, which is a store or
multi brand outlet, offering an array of products in various categories under one
roof, trying to cater to not one or two but many segments of the society and Non
store retailing as the direct selling, direct marketing, automatic vending.

Therefore, this concept of retail marketing through departmental stores, which is


coming up in a big way in India was decided to be studied in detail, through an
exploratory and conclusive research.

The objective being to assess the various parameters that influences a buyer to
visit or shop at departmental store thereby contributing to its turnover (in terms
of sales and profits) hence leading to its overall success.

MODULE DESCRIPTION:
1. Login:

It is an authentication module. It identifies the right user with proper username


and password.

Here there are two types of user.


a) Admin:

It is an administrator module. It as an admin rights. It holds stock detail


of equipments, seeds and fertilizers. Admin will also track the expiry
dates and product price record.

b) User(Customer):

It is a user module. User (Farmer) wills enquiry fertilizers, equipments


and seeds stock from retail shop. He/she can be a registered member to
claim some discount on products.
2. Product Module:

It contains fertilizer, seeds and machinery details and products. Each product
contain unique id with price and features.

3. Stock Module:

It contains products available stock and unsold products and expired


products stock.

4. Payment:

It gives the option for the admin to include the payment details of the customer
who purchase machinery, fertilizer and seeds.

6. Search:

It gives the option to search the records such as Farmer details, Equipment
details etc.
