Cell Lab

Today you will be going into depth on the two main types of cells that are in the world. They are
the plant and animal cells.
1. Go to Quia and list the different organelles that make up each cell. You may also look at
the matching and flashcards games that are on the website to further your practice in
for the cells.
2. In Cell Games you will only do the Animal and Plant cell games and quizzes. You must
score 100% in both to continue to the next assignment. Once you have scored 100%
then take a screenshot and insert the picture below.

3. Create a meme describing a plant cell and animal cell. Use the meme generator. Your
meme must be school appropriate. Copy and paste your meme below.

4. Play the Mitosis game. Write down in three column notes what happens in each stage of
the cell. The first column will be the stage, second column is what happens at that stage,
and third a picture of how the cell looks. The stages must be in order

5. Watch the animal cell animation of Meiosis and continue will the three column notes.
The stages must be in order and contain the stage name, a description, and a picture.
You may also draw the picture if you would like.
6. Play the Plant Cell Purpose Game and see how fast you can match up the parts of the
cell in their correct location. List your time below.
7. Play the Animal Cell Purpose Game and match of the parts of the cell in the correct
location. List your time below.
8. Lastly play the Cell Defense game and see how good you are in protecting your cells.
