Bullying Guide for Incoming Students

Introduction to Bullying
● An issue that plagues schools across the world

● Bullying starts at a young age and continues through the teen years

● Bullying doesn’t just cause pain for the victim but the bully as well

● 86% of teens are or have been bullied at school (Coloroso 162)

● Bullying goes under the radar most of the time.


What is Bullying?
● The act of singling an individual out in order to threaten/harm them.

● Bullying can be physical, verbally, and emotionally.

● Bullying can lead to social isolation, anxiety, depression, and even suicide.

Conclusion
● We at El Dorado expect a respectful environment here and will not tolerate bullying of

any kind.

parents..., neighbors...; and the stronger the community is, the more likely you are to stand

up against something ...and I think you strengthen the community by creating

opportunities for people to give back.¨ (Principal Interview)
