How to set up Wi-Fi on GPON HUAWEI HG8247H

1. Open a Browser and type http://192.168.1.1 at URL bar and press

‘Enter’, a Login page appears as shown

Enter Account = admin / Password = password

2. On Status page, select ‘WLAN’ > ‘WLAN Basic Configuration’

 Place a check mark at ‘Enable WLAN’

 SSID Name: change name

 Authentication Mode: WPA/WPA2 (recommend)

 WPA PreSharedKey: create code

 Enable WPS: use WPS button for connection instead of

entering code

 Click ‘Apply’
3. At ‘WLAN Advanced Configuration’ menu, select ‘Automatic’ at

‘Channel’ and click ‘Apply’

(if the customer uses a Program to check Wi-Fi Channel, should

change to the Channel that is used least)

4. To create SSID more than 1 SSID can be done as follows:

4.1 Click at ‘NEW’ and set up

a. SSID Name: enter name

b. Enable SSID: Place a check mark

c. Press ‘Apply’

4.2 You can set up each SSID

4.3 If you test searching the signal, you’ll find Access Points that are

previously set
