Question:(affect, effect, relates to) What is the effect of oil on the growth of the English little marvel peas?

Rationale: (reason) I think this is important because it helps see how plants react to pollution.

What we know from our research: 1. Little marvel pea is an English plant.

2. Marvel peas thrives in hot and moist conditions

3. Overwatering increases the chance of rotting

4. It takes about 1-2 weeks to grow

5. Niacin, iron, vitamins A, C and lots of vitamins.

6. they can grow 18-20 inches and sometimes more.

7. Their science name is “Pisum savior” ‘

8. 1 pea plant will last 60 days

9. 20 pounds of marvel peas is about 100 feet of plants

10. Gardeners have been growing little marvel peas for about 100 years.

Our Hypothesis is that the marvel peas will stop growing and have very bad effect due to the fact that oil

contain toxins which is deadly poison to plants.

Materials:(Very detailed list - usually 10 items or more)

1. Water

2. Soil

3. Marvel pea seeds

4. Motor Oil

5. Measuring cup
 6. 6 Plastic cups

7. Tape

8. Scissors or a knife

Steps of our experiment: (Numbered steps)

1. plant the marvel peas In dirt inside of a plastic cup

2. pour 50 ml of water on marvel peas

3. put a cup on top of the other cup (make sure that there is a medium sized hole on the top of

the cup)

4. take a plastic cup and put 3ml of water in the cup and then take the water out of the cup

5. once you have your cup that you just made in step 5 fill up the cup with motor oil

6. Wait till the effect shows

7. Tape plastic cup on top of the plant cup

8. Only put oil in 3 out of 6 cups

9. Then tape the ones with oil using blue tape

10. Wait until a week

11. Look at results

Looking at our results, it is clear that our original hypothesis was wrong. One way we know it is wrong is
