INTRODUCTION
Motivation has been defined as , the psychological process that gives

behavior purpose and direction ‘[kreitnev.1995]. Motivation is the reason for

people s action; willingness and goals . Motivation is derived from the word

motive in the English language which is defined as a need that required

satisfaction.

These needs could also be want / desire that are required through

influence of the culture ; society ; lifestyle ; etc / generally innate .Motivation is

ones direction to behavior or what cause a person to want to repeat a behavior ; a

set of force that acts behind the motives .

Well motivated employees stays with the organization through its thick

and thin. Motivation is essential for establishing an effective relationship between

the employers and employees.

In the modern management system many methods of motivated have

been put into practice to enhance productivity of the employees. Apart from

various methods of motivation ; nature of job design and system of incentives and

rewards for the employees that play a design and system of incentives and rewards

for the employees that play a decisive role in ensuring employees longevity ;

productivity and efficiency.

There are many ways to motivate an employee but choosing the right

way to motivated is the difficult task. Considering the complexity and volatility of

human behavior ; it is persistent to study the behavior of the employees who need

to motivated .Any organization is built with employees , hence employees are


called as the effort . Employees contribute their works and skill collectively to the

organization for its growth , only when they are motivated every organization

need employees who work dedicatedly and sincerely . An making an employee

to do his job ; salary is not the only criteria , motivation also place a major role in

this scenario every organization needs employees who work dedicatedly and

sincerely . And making an employees to do this job ; salary is not the only criteria

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

1. To study the effectiveness of motivation at HHYS Inframart.

2. To analyze how the effectiveness of motivation helps to increase a

sense of responsibility among the employee in the organization .

3. To provide suggestions for the improvement of effectiveness of

motivation .

4. To find out whether statutory and non statutory motivation provide to

the employee.

5. To determine the satisfaction level of employees about the motivation

provide by the organization .

6. To know whether providing motivation facilitates employees get

motivated to work .
SCOPE OF THE STUDY

Business world has been working as a tangent with

other organizations . Most of the western theories are not working

properly in Indian market . During and after second war , hierarchy and

motivation were at their peak in Japan , making the progression quiet

visible .The topic gains importance in view of the various

environmental change that have occurred all over the world . In the

present times the role of managers has become independable for the

growth of an organization . There is a need to amalgamate Indian

though and evolve an integrated motivation model applicable in India .

The scope of this study is limited to the effectiveness

in motivation practiced for the staff of HHYS the study tries to

reveal answer to the questions related to whether the management is

practicing the motivation measure properly or not and how effective

is .It also helps to identify whether the effectiveness in motivation

helps to develop employees employer relationship , satisfaction among

the employees enhancing motivation and team work reducing


grievances etc . It also studies how far the existing motivation

practiced had made impact on the working of employees and also the

measures implemented in the organization to improve the performance

of employees .

NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY

1. Motivation improves persistence and effort .


2. Motivation improve initiative .
3. Improve cognitive processing skills .
4. Motivation improves overall performance.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In this chapter the practical method used in order to

answer the research question and fulfill the purpose of them are

prevented. Motivating my choice of factors , possible problems with the data

was analyzed finally the quality of the chosen research design is criticized .

SOURCE OF DATA

The methodology used for the project work is collection of

the primary data and secondary data.

PRIMARY DATA

Data regarding the study of satisfaction among employees are

procured directly from the employees through a structural question

redistributed to them . An informal discussion was also done with the HR

manager to get information on satisfaction . The total popular in the

organization is 300 and the size of the sample is fixed as 100.


SECONDARY DATA

The secondary data for conducting the study were collected from

various books , record and internet .

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study is to find out the effectiveness in motivation at

HHYS Inframart . Motivation is an important area of human resource

development .

SAMPLING AREA

The study was conducted at HHYS Inframart , kayamkulam

SAMPLE SIZE

The sample of 100 employees was selected for the present study.

PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS

Percentage analysis shows the entire population on terms of


percentages. It reveals the number of belongings in a particular category or
the number people preferring a particular manner in interpreted in forms of
percentage . It refers to special kind of rates . Percentage are used in
comparison between two or more series of date . A percentage is used to
determine relationship between the series.

PIE CHART

A pie chart is a circular chart divided into sectors illustrating


numerical proportion . In a pie chart , the arc length of each sector is
proportional to the quality it represents. While it is named for its
resemblance to a pie , which has been serial noised , there are variation on
the way it can presented pie chart are very widely used in the business
world and the mass media .

SIMPLE BAR DIAGRAM

A bar chart is a way of summarizing a set of categorical data.


A bar chart or bar graph a chart with rectangular bars with lengths
proportional to the values that they represent . The bars can be plotted
vertically or horizontally . A vertically bar chart is sometimes called a
column bar chart . A bar graph is a chart that uses either horizontal or
vertical bars to show comparison among categories . It displays the data
using a number of bars of the same width , each of which representing a
particular category.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

1. The staffs in the organization were very busy with their work . So a
detailed analysis was not possible .
2. Inconvenience of the employees.
3. The response given by the respondent may be biased.
4. Respondents were reluctant to express their views freely .

SUGGESTIONS

1. Most of the employees agree that performance appraisal activities are


helpful to get motivated ,so the organization should try to improve
performance appraisal system ,so they can improve their performance
2. Organization should give importance to communication between employees
and gain coordination through it.
3. Skills of the employees should be appreciated.
4. If the centralized system of management is changed decentralized one. Then
there would be active and committed participation of staff for the success of
the organization.
5. Employees should be given participation in decision making , this helps to
boost their interest in implementing it.
6. Pay and advancement opportunities should be based on performance of
employees .
7. There should be proper communication channel.
8. Technological up gradation is highly desirable in this company.
