Sub: Science Camp under INSPIRE Internship Programme – Request to nominate Class
XI Science students for Participation
We are pleased to inform you that Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod is organizing a 5 day

Residential Science Camp for 150 students under the INSPIRE Internship Programme from 26 to 31
December 2017. This event is the part of the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research
(INSPIRE) launched by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to attract
young talents to advanced studies and research in basic sciences. The Science Camp will provide an
excellent opportunity for the students to interact with the Academy Fellows, Bhatnagar Awardees,
Scientists from IIT, IIST, IISc, NCBS, JNCASR, and other National Institutes and Universities from
India and experts of National/International repute.
Eligibility to participate:

 Top one percent ranking in the X Board Examination (in Kerala) (SSLC 94.6% / CBSE CGPA
– A1 / ICSE 95.0 %)
 Pursuing Science in Class XI
 Not attended a similar Science Camp elsewhere earlier, and
 Participating students shall be within the same State

Important Notes:

 All expenses will be met by DST. Participating students and institutions have no financial
liability on their parts.
 Students will be provided free food and accommodation
The eligible students should apply in the prescribed registration format enclosed herewith and nomi-
nated through the School Principal. The Registration form can also be downloaded from the website
www.cukerala.ac.in. We request you to kindly nominate six eligible students from your school for the
above programme. Further selection will be made from the nominated list. The nominations along with
the copy of class X mark list should reach “Dr. Sudha K, Programme Co-ordinator, INSPIRE Sci-
ence Camp, Central University of Kerala, Riverside Transit Campus, Padannakkad, Nileshwar-
671314, Kasaragod” by post or through the email attachment (cukinspire@gmail.com) on or before
