CLASS RULES:
1. Treat others how you want to be treated.
2. When the bell rings, you should be seated with appropriate material out
on your desk.
3. Cell phones are permitted, but only when directly specified. If you are
caught with one during a quiz or test, you will earn a zero on that
assessment.
4. Be on time to class.
5. Be respectful of your school and keep your space clean.
6. When someone else is talking, you are not.

** If you fail to comply with school or classroom rules, consequences can

include, but are not limited to, a verbal warning, a referral to the principal, and
a call home.

SUPPLIES:
 3-subject notebook
 folder
 pencil(s) and pens (black, blue, or red)
 calculator (TI-84 Plus or TI-84 Plus CE)

GRADING SCALE:
90 – 100% A I round to the nearest percentage!
80 – 89% B
70 – 79% C 89.50% rounds to 90%, which is an A.
60 – 69% D
0 – 59% F 89.49% rounds to 89%, which is a B.

GRADING SYSTEM:
Tests 60%
Quizzes 20%
Homework 20%
HOMEWORK:
Homework will be assigned just about every night. It is the student’s
responsibility to attempt and complete it, as it may be checked every day either
for completion or by a homework quiz.

MAKE-UP POLICY:
You will be given the opportunity to make up any assignment or notes you
may miss by completing and submitting the “Make-Up Quizzes/Assignments”
sheet provided in the back of the classroom. If you have an excused absence,
you will be allotted the number of school days missed to make up the
assignment. For example, if you miss class on Monday, you will be given Tuesday
to complete your work and that work is due Wednesday.
Warning! Make-up tests or quizzes will not be the same as the original
tests or quizzes and may be more difficult. Also, failure to follow up on your
assignments or scheduled appointment will result in a zero.

FOR FURTHER ASSISSTANCE:

If you feel ill-prepared for an upcoming test or if you feel you are falling
behind in class, I will offer additional help. Simply complete the “I Need Help!!!”
sheet located in the back of the classroom, so we can find a time to meet.
You must give at least a 2-hour notice prior to a scheduled meeting time
to cancel.

**I reserve the right to make changes to the syllabus as I deem necessary and I
will inform you and your family of those changes.**
