Last Meeting 4-2-19 Highlights
Community members received an update on the adopted Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA) Ordinance
and companion resolution. They adopted these proposed actions and the Beacon Hill Council Board passed a
motion to do so. The action items are: 1) Continue EJ air and noise pollution health impacts issues 2) Pursue 47
Historic Resources assessment/review for Landmarking and documenting BH people of color attendant history, 3) ask for
RSJ Seattle Public Utilities Sewer Assessment and Plan, 4) ask for DOT Road congestion assessment and resolution (see
Town Center Plan), 5) pursue Tree Canopy preservation and increased goal given air and noise pollution issues, 6)
address displacement, 7) pursue affordable commercial spaces and continue access to fresh and cultural foods (see
Town Center Plan), 8) Co-host candidate forum Seattle District 2.
