My Philosophy of Education

Introduction

Every person must face the practical realities of life- its opportunities, its responsibilities, its defeats, and
its successes. How he is to meet these experiences, whether he is to become master or victim of
circumstances, depends largely upon his preparation to cope with them- his education.

Our ideas of education take too narrow and too low a range. There is need of a broader scope, a higher
aim. True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a
preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of
existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual
powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service
in the world to come.

MY EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I BELIEVE THAT THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION IS TO MOLD EACH STUDENTS

INDIVIDUALLY AND EDUCATE THEM SO THEY CAN SUCCEED LATER IN LIFE.....
"I am a progressivist, but this doesn't mean I will only approach teaching and learning in one way".

Why teach?

Teaching is one of the professions....that shape the future of the world. That's why I decided to become a
teacher and an educator.I want to tune students' knowledge and develop their life skills so they become
effective members in the society. Education should be made accessible to all children. Students are
intelligent, creative, and innovative. In schools, students go through a journey full of hope, and curiosity.
They have dreams, hopes, fears, and strengths. They ask for freedom, respect and satisfaction. Students
have the right to express their feelings, opinions, beliefs, interests and talents. Their learning environment
should be engaging, safe, interesting, and fun.

What to teach?

As an educator, I instill core values: caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect. I teach students with
different learning techniques to reach all and meet their expectations. I teach them with a sense of humor
in an environment where students can learn more.My best source for improving my teaching skills is my
students comments and replies.

How to teach?
My teaching process includes: excellent preparation, instruction, assessment, and monitoring student's
achievement. I believe students' project should be life-skilled oriented, in the form of magazine,
newspaper, and journal articles, interactive videos, podcasts, or presentations to be shared on social
media for more discussions. I guide my students to their future careers and solve their academic
problems. As an educator, it's my role to help my students build character and values, enjoy healthy life-
style, communicate effectively with others, select right choices and give them hope for future.
I AM A TEACHER
Every time I leave my office for the day, my body still aches for creativity and for making a difference in
the world- both fundamental and whole. It was only upon this discovery that I realized I had to make
significant time outside of my day job for channeling these desires in a way that I hadn't done before. This
is the reason why I took up Professional Education at La Consolacion University Philippines.
I am a teacher:
I inspire my students to follow their dreams, discover their creativity, interests, and talents, and
learn to use them to their fullest potential.
