PLN 1 Education on Facebook

I found this really awesome Facebook page that relates to all teachers. The page is called
Education.com and it incorporates over 30,000 learning activities to help kids reach their
potential. I feel this is a great resource especially for early childhood teachers because they can
find fun and creative ways to teach material. The page also posts links to current educational
topics and events that are going on. Overall, this page is a wonderful resource for teachers to
explore new ideas and concepts.

PLN 2 Teachers on Facebook

Another awesome page I found on Facebook is simply for teachers! They page is called We Are
Teachers. This page posts ideas, stories and experiences within a class room. Teachers are able
to comment, share and like the educational posts. This page talks about up-date information
teachers are experiencing. I found something on the page that was a link to an article about a
math modeling challenge for high school kids, which is exactly what I hope to be teaching!

PLN 3 Pinterest

I found a board on Pinterest that is called The Educators’ Spin On it! It engages kid’s activities,
learning games, partnering ideas and more! This is super great because it allows teachers to
find creativity to then use within their classroom. It is so amazing to see how many fun ways
basic education can be taught. Overall, this board is super cute, and I love how the creator is
reaching out to so many educators through the great ideas of education.

PLN 4 Twitter

On twitter, they have a page called Education Week that reports up to date articles on
education. The topics range from every post, but they are all informational! This is a great
resource to see what current issues are being related back to teachers! You can like and
retweet any post as well as send the posts to others! The articles seem interesting!

PLN 5 Teaching on Facebook

Lastly, I found another Facebook page that is called Get into Teaching and it gives teachers the
opportunity to attend events based off their area. They are called Train to Teach Events and
they are found in certain cities. Teachers can attend these conferences and grow in their
knowledge. Overall, I think this is wonderful because teaching is continuous learning experience
so to have a conference designated to that is wonderful.
