1. Suction Pressure.
2. Flow rate of sealing Water.
3. Temperature of sealing water.
4. Vacuum And Discharge pressure.
1. Suction Pressure.
Main Function of vacuum pump is to suck particular fluid from one place and
discharge fluid to another place.
So performance of vacuum pump is depends upon suction pressure of vacuum
pump.
2. Flowrate of sealing water.
All the power supplied will be converted into heat.
About 10 % of heat will be lost from body and heat carried by the water vapour
and air discharged.
Hence 90 % of supplied power has to be absorbed by the sealing water.
So performance of the vacuum pump is depends upon the flow rate.
Power absorbed by sealing water = LPM * SP heat * Temp rise.
So Increasing in Flow rate of sealing water by total recirculation, we can improve
power absorbed by the water and hence performance can be improved.
3. Temperature of the Sealing water.
Temperature of the sealing water play very important role in the performance of
the vacuum pump.
Standard temp of the sealing water in 60 F.
Further increase in temp. Is resulting in lower performance of pump.
As 10 % of power Supplied to the pump is converted into heat is absorbed by
the discharge water, its temp is increased.
So it is necessary to reduce temp of the water before supplying to the pump.
LPM = POWER absorbed by the water./ SP. Heat * (TEMP rise of the sealing
water.)
From above equ. Awe can see that increasing in temp of the water will reduce
LPM and so suction pressure ids reduce.
So performance of the pump is reduce.
So by using heat exchanger we can reduce temp.
P2 = 1/3 (ῤ * X2 * v2 + 2p1)
So we can see from Form equ that discharge presuure can be improved
by increasing suction pressure.
As if p1 is increase b certain method we can improve p2.
Mechanical Vacuum Booster is the device by ehich we can improve
suction pressure.
By improving suction pressure discharge pressure can be improve.
And so performance of vacuum pump can improve.
