peared of late, and I try to come to terms with some of the most important
in "Philosophical Scepticism and Epistemic Circularity," Proceedings of
the Aristotelian Society, supp. vol. 68 (1994): 268-90. In "How to Resolve
the Pyrrhonian Problematic: A Lesson from Descartes," forthcoming in
Philosophical Studies, I develop the suggestion here that Descartes shows
us the way beyond that problematic.
