1. President Duque launched the Fudra in Catatumbo

President Duque activated in Ocaña the Rapid Deployment Force, FUDRA, integrated by an
army of 5 thousand soldiers to reinforce security in El Catatumbo. This army will fight the
illegal armed organizations that dispute the control of drug trafficking routes, targeting
mainly the ELN, Clan del Golfo, Epl, the common delinquency and FARC dissidences, in order
to stop the wave of kidnappings and the problems of violence that Ocaña and the
Catatumbo region are experiencing.
Presidente Duque activó en Ocaña la Fuerza de Despliegue Rápido, FUDRA, integrada por 5
mil soldados del ejército para reforzar la seguridad en El Catatumbo. Esta unidad con tres
batallones de despliegue rápido y un batallón de acción directa, combatirá las
organizaciones armadas ilegales que se disputan las rutas del narcotráfico, apuntando
principalmente al Eln, Clan del Golfo, Epl, la delincuencia común y disidencias de las Farc, a
fin de frenar la ola de secuestros y los problemas de violencia que vive Ocaña y la región del
Catatumbo.
2. Sound Of Jets Scares Many Ocañeros

El pasado sábado y Domingo, 27 y 28 de Octubre los ocañeros pasamos un gran susto luego
de que los aviones KFIR de la Fuerza Aérea Colombiana FAC asignados al comando aéreo de
combate N°1 (CACOM 1) fueran utilizados como parte de la activación del comando FUDRA
dispuesto para el Catatumbo. Estos aviones de combate multipropósito supersónicos de
fabricación israelí pueden alcanzar una velocidad máxima operativa de 2440 Km/h
equivalente a MATCH 2 (2 veces la velocidad del sonido) lo que puede generar un gran
estruendo tras su paso y que tomó por sorpresa a los Ocañeros, algunos pronosticando el
inicio del Apocalipsis al sonar las campanas.
Cabe recordar que Recordemos que el ocañero Raúl Felipe Torrado Claro, teniente de la
Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, forma parte del Escuadrón 111 que pilotean estos aviones para
defender el país.
