VI. PUTTING THE AENT INTO PROGRAM MODE TO

PREVENT STERILIZER FROM SHUTTING DOWN
WITHOUT CAUSE
Scope: This procedure is necessary when the control continually indicates it will shut
down in X seconds after booting up. This is caused by loss of communications between
the 200R and the AENT I/O control module. The 200R “remembers” all the states of the
I/O when it polls the I/O and doesn’t get an update. It will then use the last state which
was to shut down.

In order to stop this auto shutdown and resolve the issue between the 200R and AENT,
the Slot 2 on the Soft Logix Chassis Monitor must be placed in PROG mode from the
DESKLOCK window. Use the following instructions to do this, but be aware that you will
have the amount of time on the SHUT DOWN notice to complete this, which may only be
seconds.

1. Attach a USB keyboard to the 200R.

2. Turn on key switch. After the 200R has booted:

a. Press ALT_ESC on keyboard to bring up the DESKLOCK window.

b. Select SoftLogix Chassis Monitor (SLGX Chassis) icon (fourth item down) on the
DESKLOCK application.

c. Select Slot 2 (SOFTLOGIX Ethernet Controller) by a RIGHT CLICK with the mouse
or press SHIFT- F10 on the keyboard or double tap on touch screen.

d. Select PROGRAM and acknowledge the window asking to set controller to

program mode by selecting YES. This stops the application from running and
shutting down the 200R.

3. The 200R will stop trying to shut down. NOTE: REMEMBER TO PLACE THE CONTROL
BACK INTO RUN MODE USING THIS PROCEDURE AFTER ISSUE RESOLVED.

4. If unable to boot the 200R to the Standby or Cycle Screen, the desklock screen will
also appear for a short time during start up. Select Chassis Monitor (SLGX Chassis)
by tapping on the touch screen icon at this time and put Slot 2 in program mode by
following step c and d.
