Flooring Contract Template

Contract Terms
An individual aged 18+ must be present when [Sender.Company]'s installation team arrives. If the
installation team arrives at the scheduled time and is unable to access the work area, a $50
rescheduling fee will apply.

The Client is responsible for providing electricity during the flooring project, and for ensuring that
adults, children, and pets do not interfere with the project's progress.

[Sender.Company] will not remove or disconnect any plumbing or electrical fixtures, including
appliances and outlets.

This contract does not include mold abatement or asbestos removal. If mold or asbestos are
discovered at any point during the flooring project, the installation team will cease work until the
Client addresses the issue to [Sender.Company]'s satisfaction.

Variations in pattern or color due to the use of natural materials in flooring will not be grounds for
replacement of the flooring. Wool, wood, marble, and clay are all used in various flooring
materials, and all have natural color variations.

Any flooring which is considered defective will be replaced at the sole cost and expense of
[Sender.Company].

[Sender.Company] offers a 1-year guarantee on flooring installation. This covers defects to

materials and the installation itself, but requires that the Client perform manufacturer
recommended upkeep to the flooring once it is installed. The guarantee does not cover issues not
related to defective materials or installation.

An initial deposit equal to 25% of the total project fee is due prior to the first scheduled on-site
working day. The remaining balance is due immediately upon project completion. Any payment
past that date will be subject to a $100 late fee.

This flooring contract shall be the sole agreement between[Company.Name] and

[Client.Name]. No other agreements, arrangements, or promises are valid.

[Sender.Company]'s liability shall in all cases be limited to the terms of our liability insurance, and
shall in no case extend beyond damages directly caused by our work.
[Sender.Company] shall in no event be held liable for delay, cancellation, or damage due to
unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural disaster.

This flooring contract can be cancelled at any time up to 24 hours prior to the first scheduled
onsite project date without penalty. After that date, the initial deposit becomes non-refundable and
additional fees may be charged for work completed on a pro-rated basis.
