Data and Project Timeline
Project Summary: To survey fellow students about how they perceive mental illnesses portrayed
in popular tv shows, movies, or the news, and to see how it affects their opinions. This survey
will be dispersed to underclassmen students at River Hill. The information will then be
incorporated into the mental health campaign and to educate students on the negative portrayals
of mental illnesses. The intended audience of this survey is adolescents aged 13-18 years old.

Data Collection: This method of data collection will be a questionnaire/survey. Questions range
from open-ended ones, asking about demographics, indicating personal choices, personal
opinions, and a multiple choice question gauging how much knowledge participants understand.
