Hugh: For our next segment we have Peter Robin with the weekly live show review, this week he
reviewed ‘The 1975’s’ latest London show at the O2. Make sure to check out the website at
www.bbc.co.uk/fridayat7 for the full review and exclusive photos from the gig!

Cath: Over to you Peter

Peter Robin: Tonight were talking everything ‘The 1975’, ahead of their sold out show the indie pop
band gave a brilliant performance with amazing vocals and great live music. We heard them play
their new album “A Brief enquiry into online relationships” and some of their top hits from it too such
as ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ and ‘Sincerity is Scary’ and many others both from the older and
newer albums. For each song there were different visuals behind which typically matched the song
for example the song ‘Sincerity is Scary’ they show a visual that is used in the actual music video. Last
year at the concert we saw the lead singer make a real connection with the audience, he had them
buzzing and effectively between audience and musician they were bouncing off of each other.
However, this year we saw a lack of this as he hardly spoke to the audience and essentially just
played the music. Whether this was due to how big that band has got in the past year on maybe
wanting to have time for all of the music, it was just simply not as interactive.

Hugh: Thank you Peter, it’s always great to hear about upcoming artists gigs but don’t forget to
check out the rest of the review on the website. We also have other reviews from all over the country
which you should check out!

Cath: it’s now time to find out our number 9 spot for this week’s upcoming artist!

NUMBER 9

Annad it’s …’Bess Atwell’!

Play ‘Grace’
